The Danish Army is split into a few subfactions:
The Royal Danish Life Regiment:
Danish Infantrymen by stomatopoda, on Flickr
The hardy Dane infantry! The most poorly equipped Danish forces, they make up for it with their battle fervor. They use light laser guns, and are quite mobile in battle. They wear standard Danish red short coats, a classic ceremonial uniform that has been upgraded with soft armor, which, in some cases, can protect against lasers or ballistic weapons.
Danish Shield Wall by stomatopoda, on Flickr
The Shield Wall or “Rødtoppe” as they are called for their Red helmet adornment. These troopers are tasked with holding the line, or holding the charge. Their power axes cuts as easily through steel as minifig flesh, and energy-shield-generators improve their shields. This means that the Shield Wallers do not wear heavy armor, so their movement are kept fast, and their attacks even faster. In the middle of the formation is Colonel Jeppe Gangleri. He is the highest-ranking officer of the Life Regiment. He used to serve in the High King’s own Life Guard, and as such, he is allowed to wear the great bearskin helmet.

The Raiders or “Hvidtoppe” as they are called for their helmet adornments. These are the fast- and hard-hitting frontline troopers. They have high mobility and are all adept swordsmen. They are mainly used as skirmishers in battle. This group is also accompanied by two spearmen, these can also reinforce the Shieldwallers. In the middle of the group is Kaptain Absalon, one of the very best fencers of the Danish Army. He is the personal sparring partner of the High King, and holds the honorary title of “Klingemester”, meaning Blades Master.
Danish Specialists by stomatopoda, on Flickr
This is a selection of Danish Specialist troops, from left to right. First is Hrattmann, occasionally nicknamed “Annoyingly Fast Dipshit”. He is a very good pilot, and also an irritating bastard. He often crashes his vehicles whatever they might be, but at least he does it in style. Second and third are two artillerists with a cannon. The Danes have not yet adopted their lasers to artillery-size, and prefer ballistics for because of the indirect fire capability. Fourth is Løjtnant “Ørne-øjne” Jensen. He used to be a lowly infanterist, but in a battle he picked up the rifle of a fallen sniper, and proceeded to rack up an impressive kill count. He was promptly given a quick promotion and is the current sharpshooter of the Life Regiment. Fifth is a railgun experimental trooper. Last is an experimental jetpack close quarters trooper wielding two OTCs.
High King Modrik & Danish Heavies by stomatopoda, on Flickr
High King Modrik the Second is not one to command from behind the frontline. He weilds the Sword of Danr as both Badge of Office, and the powerful weapon it is. He is flanked by two heavies, not yet equipped by Danish R&D with heavy weapons, but they are wearing repainted Bavarian Riesenlaster armor.
Cecilsian Mounted Infantry:
The Cecilsian Mounted Infatry, sometimes nicknamed “Ørkenrotterne” Meaning the Desert Rats. These troopers patrol the colony-planet of Cecilsia’s deserts and Savannas. They use old-fashioned ballistic weapons and tan uniforms with high reliability rates. They ride warhorses on patrol, and everyone is required to use both rifle and sword. All of them wear sunglasses to shield against the scorching desert sun on Planet Cecilsia. Many of them are participants of a strange cult centering on an ancient explorer named Thunder Johnny. Despite their strange tendencies, they are extremely capable scouts and fast infantry. Oberst Jens “Cykelstyr” (handlebars) Andersen leads them.
D.A.R.E. to resist traitors and nonviolence!
The Danish Advanced Recon Elite is a governmental clandestine operations unit. Most people who know of their existence regard them as extremists and radicalists. They are led by Oberstløjtnant Trinitonz and his sniper lieutenant. They are theorized to be behind several attacks during the Danish Civil War. They are some of the most capable fighters in the army, and are quite happy to raid anyone in the Carnelian Sector who expresses any dislike of the government.
The various ministers often distrust their own armies, and choose to hire privately funded mercenary guards. Minifig from all across the galaxy can find themselves in the the service of ruthless politicians.
The HvidKold Sirius Patrulje is the regiment that controls the Danish colonial power on Planet HvidKold. These are some of the few Danish troopers who choose to wear camouflage. Their white coverall uniforms make them almost invisible in the arctic tundra of HvidKold and by the time you manage to spot the yellow around their eyes, they already have you in the sight of their sniper rifle. Occasionally they are used away from HvidKold, but it turns out they are less than effective troopers. Investigations on this matter are ongoing. They are lead by the capable Kommandør Anders Hviid.
Last but in no way least is the Cecilsian Zealous Scouts. They are a separate regiment from the Mounted Infatry, and they have a quite different job. These are jungle troopers, fighting in the unmapped regions of Cecilsia. They operate in small fireteams of 4 troopers. The trooper with the red scarf in each fireteam is the NCO. They use outflanking tactics and heavy battle rifles, and are frequently employed as anti-terrorist or anti-rebel units. Generally, they quell most rebels or terrorists. Sergeant Eric “Green Leader” Shipwright, a native Brittanian, leads them. He uses the standard battlerifle in addition to an “interrogation bat”, which is often used for recovering Intel.
