So yeah.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Jesus, I could get a pair of Dranken-class Cruisers for that! Or a squadron of Obani-class Destroyers. Or 15% of the cost of a Terra-class Battlestar (thirty kilometer long monsters that can throw out more missiles in a single broadside than most Home Defense fleets) And probably like 0.001% of the cost of a flagship a friend of mine once designed, and that thing was 1972 kilometers long!

actually, if you think getting a 10,000 ton warship for under a billion dollars is expensive, then you have a LOT of haggling to do my friend. a space shuttle alone is 1.7 billion dollars, and there's an added 450 million per launch in fuel and supplies and whatnot.

I reject your logic and substitute my own.

Three words.

1. Ah
2. Hah
3. Ha!

$899,365,000

There are nine digits. No decimals. Three commas. It reads, three hundred ninety-nine billion, three hundred sixty five dollars. There is no and, there is no American (silly Americans, putting their names on things), and there is no decimal.

One more word:

OK then, the first three places are ones. The next three are thousands and what's that? The last three are millions.

Oh my god, I can't read numbers either. It appears this number is eight hundred ninety-nine million, three hundred sixty-five thousand. And I thought numbers were easy.

So, this thing is under a billion dollars.

Yeah, it's so expensive because it's engine and weapons are not magic. When you have an engine that operates purely on it's ability to break all known laws of science, the laws of economics invariably fly out the window as well.

I have had cheaper cruisers that were heavier, but they were more lightly gunned armored craft. This thing has 22 medium aperture lasers and a 3000ton coil gun that accelerates projectiles to mass obliteration.

Sacrificed armor, engine size, fuel space, even computer equipment, all so that the focused power of 22 fusion powered ultraviolet beams of coherent DEATH. And if this baby gets within 2500km of a target, that coilgun will probably punch a hole into them they cannot come back from.

Yeah, just over half of this ships weight is guns.

Even an hero rolls a one sometimes. But it has to be stated that billions are confusing.

Wikipedia, The Sum of all Human Knowledge.

Armed with this knowledge I now specify my originally intended statement.

I state, if anyone wants to take on my ship they are welcome. They may spend up to 1 billion (short scale) on their own design. Come on, bring down the Muffin!
