2001 rules question

I have a couple of questions aout the 2001 rules

1. When finding out the cost of power in 5.2.1. how does Blok-Displacement affect max power.

2. In the power source chart (5.2.1) why does the cp cost of power decrease with higher TLs shouldn't it increase. I mean in TL 6 the cost is half the power but in TL 3 it's 3 times the power.

Blok displacement (from what i remember) was simply counting however many brix would fill the area designated as the engine. for that Tek Level's brik displacement to power ratio, this is how much power that that amount of brix generates.

and for the second one, think about it. for a primitive caveman society, it is VERY hard and expensive to be able to generate power. having to feed an entire slave army to move one stinking catapult? whereas in higher Tek Levels, cold-fusion energy is so incredibly powerful that just a little tiny bit goes a LONG way.

so are you saying that for example at TL 5 for every Blok displacement you have, you can have 30 points of power, but at TL 3 you can only have 15 points of power for every 3 Blok displacement.

exactly. at TL3, the most efficient power you can get is a steam engine or something, which is big and bulky. at TL5 you've got condensed nuclear fission and quantum engines, which are far more efficient.
