The pilots rush to meet their enemy head on, but a critical failure and a low roll prevent end any forward momentum they may have brought.

Viking Turn 2

The Vikings have begun to meet their opponent by this turn and the casualty list shows it! Of special notice is the rifle-wielding Snowtrooper, with his second critical attack in a row. Also of note was the critical failure by Leif resulting in his cape obscuring his vision.



And the Imp pilot struggles to keep up with the Viking offensive.

Pilot turn 2
Perhaps leading by example isn't always the best idea. Viking Hero Eric has been ganged-up upon and shattered (Eric can be seen mid-screen and to the far left) with nary a bump-chested Valkyrie to be seen.



Also of note is that Blue Group did a terrific job this round of doing nothing. And what is the Pogo trooper up to?



Finally, the Snowtrooper who had previously gotten two critical kills in a row (and was about to be nicknamed "Lucky") has taken a sudden retirement through the neck.

Viking Turn 3

This turn sees an end to the longstanding (if 3 turns can be thought of as long) feud between the Vikings and Red Group, as the last Red Group pilot is decapitated unceremoniously.



This round also sees a Viking 'Zerker wildly thinning the enemy lines. Other than that though, largely disappointing with a series of critical failures.

Pilot Turn 3

Restless from the lack of damage the two groups had been displaying lately, I decided on a new approach:



That's right sports fans, the pilot's hero blew the leg off the yellow mech and sent it to the ground with only 2 friendly casualties! Out of 6. Casualties.



An attack also went south for White Group, as a counter brought a burning crab through the attacker's neck. Again, all long range units failed to do enough damage.

Viking Turn 4



A single kill is more or less the highlight of this turn, as nobody seems to be able to either do enough damage or roll a high enough use rating. In addition, I had previously failed to mention that the Orange Group (Green) managed to critically fail his last attack and is now being choked by his own tool.



And the remaining 'Zerker made a wild bound to reach the (ineffectively) sniping bowmen. He failed and now has managed to wedge his blade in the column.

I was afraid this would happen. It's too damn late (early?) at night for me to do anything worthwhile. I know a lot of people would just call down a Nuke or smash the base with a giant weapon. I'm just going to walk away and prove that violence doesn't solve anything unless you kill the entire opposing side. Sorry all.

We, since we got to see this great battle. I just hope I'd see that finished someday.. oh well, maybe I should stop dreaming.

And I'm with Benny, Vikings rule! No offense towards your pilots, but what is cooler than a viking? A ninja, maybe, or a Sith lord, but they aren't so common.
