Chainsaw sword

Post by Cheezbob325 » Thu Feb 07, 2008 5:15 pm

If I wanted to make a chainsaw sword (long range weapon and M CC weapon combined) how much CP would it cost?

It depends on the stats.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

if it's a combination of long range and CC, wouldn't you just add the CP points together?

but just as an asthetic question, how is a chainsaw sword possibly even PART long range? the only thing i can think of that makes sense for this combination is a gunblade.

Well, since it looks like yer makin' the Lancer assault rifle from Gears of Waaagh, I would say follow the formula:
A+B+C=Answer.

A pts for being a long range infantry weapon.(?)
B pts for being a chainsaw.
C pts for being Fully Auto.

(?) Would you guys consider the Lancer a long range?

No, no, I think he means a sword that extends out, so that it slices people in half from a distance. Am I right?

But either way, Foggy's ruleset there should do the trick.

Hmmm....I'd say combine the two, with maybe a little bit extra because of sheer awsomeness.

@Foggy: Your formula is right, or at least, that's how I'd do it. ...But if he had meant the chainsaw thing from GoW (I don't care what it's called, it slices aliens in half!), he'd probably have said it.

Maybe it shoots chainsaws?

Yeah, like making a skill check to slice more than one minifig up with a single attack! Based on your roll, you get to apply damage to more minifigs!

That'd be great for dealing with squads :P

well if it extended, it'd technically still be a close combat weapon.

Not if it extends farther than ten inches!
