Alrighty, me again, just here to announce two important landmarks in my history! First off, I have finally made use of heavy troops, and I must say they are very effective. Second off, those same heavy troops are my first Minifig Conversions ever! Huzzah for Crazy Glue and paint! So, without further adue, I allow you to view ... ::drumroll:: ... The Soul-less!

Can you tell I based this off of Doodstormer's sig-fig, or what?

After I did these, I thought they looked so cool that I went on to make another one on the same basic principle, which, with luck, I will post today in another thread for you (he's not Undying Tek, so he doesn't belong in here).

That's the other one I mentioned, Blackwing77.

Your powers of perception surely surpass mine.

Although Timethious wasn't my sig-fig, I thank you for the credit.

Hmm, as in what they looked like before the conversion? I'd have to go into the SSO II pictures for that, and I don't have those (kidko does). And even then, they wouldn't be very close-up and detailed pictures. Basically the black minifig with the helmet and Heavy Ioun Cannon.

Oh, yes, that's right. Those rocket launcher looking weapons? They're named Heavy Ioun Cannons, FYI.

I actually really like your Ioun cannon (although is it pronounced ion? or has this been an extended misspelling of ion that nobody's corrected? are ion and ioun the same thing? what's an ioun?). one thing i notice though is that you've got the soldiers holding them over their shoulders. is the part pointing behind them (with the crystal jammed into it) supposed to be the barrel, or is the other end supposed to be? that said, doesn't that make the scope/sight on the wrong side of the gun?

The barrel is the other end, Ioun is indeed spelled Ioun. It's an element that I made up for the army. The foot troops are equipped with Ioun Rifles. And Ioun is pronounced Eye-oon.

Just glued them on. I painted them, too, because the Robin's Egg Blue wouldn't have worked with the color scheme...

An Ioun is a magical stone or crystal that grants supernatural effects. Which seems appropriate enough for the Undying crowd.

Yeah, I'm a geek. But you all knew that already.

I'm going to agree with IVhorseman on this one. I knew that, but I'm using it as an element. As in, the periodic table kind.

Although some people would argue that is already an element, I'd say since there are different types it's at least a chemical compound. Kind of like 'rock' isn't simply one element, but they all share similarities.

I'll stop rambling now...

It could... but Lego would tone down the violence in the game to the point where it wasn't even that much fun anymore. What a horrifying thought, I know. Brikwars without violence. How the hell does that work?

But anyways...

Actually, now that I think of it, the whole gun could be a siphon for the Ioun stones energy! It is mounted on the back, after all... just a thought.

My WH40K friends would be horrified to learn that I don't remember the name of the rat things in their game - skaven? skraven? I refuse to be bothered to look it up. But I remember that in Mordheim they had weapons kind of like this, guns that were powered by warpstone. They probably even looked like these ioun cannons.
