Armor

Post by Smalex » Tue Jul 14, 2009 2:21 pm

So I'm just reading all of the rules now. Even the 2001 rules with over 100 pages, but I happened to look at the minifig supplement cards and "the minifig" has an armor rating of 4 when all the others are like 1d6 or something like that. So I guess i'm just confused at how you really attack and how you use this "armor rating." and sorry if i seem really stupid....I just need some clarification.

The attacker rolls their skill(1d6 for a minifig) and compares it to what they were trying to use Eg: pistol, use: 3.

the attacker then rolls the damage of the weapon( pistol: 1d6 ).

if that roll is over the defenders armor then the defender is killed.

a minifigs armor is 4 because it just simplifies armor and there is less die rolling but you could use a d6 for minifig armor if you really wanted to.

Hope that helps.

When I have smaller battles (like my CTF style forum battle), I don't bother with use ratings, because I assume that all my figs are highly trained with whatever weapons they're using. Instead I roll their skill against their attackers to see if they score a hit or if they get juked out.

So roll skill for both (1d6 for figs, 2d6 for heroes)

Defender Wins ...................... Attacker Wins

Attack misses ....................... Roll damage vs armor

.........................Armor wins.....................Damage wins

I said "no" to drugs, but they just wouldn't listen...

But it would be even better if Rayhawk would be left alone so that he can continue his next rulebook.
