NorCal [SF Bay Area]
Considering the Bay Area's status as geek mecca, I find it odd that there isn't a Northern California thread already. Well, consider that changed.
Is anyone else out there within driving distance of San Francisco?

I live in NorCal and would be up for a game. Granted I've never played before (mostly due to an inability to find players in the Bay Area). Granted, I'm an older fart than the age of the "Old Farts" (almost 30) subforum here.
I couple years back I joined BayLUG, hoping to find some players but they hadn't even heard of BrikWars. They were mostly into trains.

I'm in Silicon Valley. I *may* run BrikWars at future conventions in the area. Kublacon is coming up at the end of this month, but I don't feel prepared to run the game publicly yet, as I haven't played it enough myself. Hopefully next year, or at a show in the fall.
I play a wide variety of games at my local gaming store in Santa Clara and I've got a friend down there that I've heard plays BrikWars as well. Haven't seen him in person recently, so haven't asked him yet.
I am cultivating potential opponents currently. Oh, and if 30 is old here, then I must be ready for the Lego version of AARP. well, not really, but the 30's are behind me now.

Talarius, it's good to hear from you.
First, like you, the 30's are behind me. Also, like you, I have very little experience with the game. In fact, I've only read through the rules due to a lack of opponents. I also live in Silicon Valley so I am curious about the "game store in Santa Clara" of which you speak.
If said game store has facilities for running a small game I'd be open to having some very small-scale head-to-head games with you, just so I can get used to actually playing the game. That is, no elaborate scenery or set-up, just a couple guys and small-scale minifig carnage. If your regular store is not the place for this, there is a new game store in Cupertino Square that looks to have some gaming tables as well.
Send a PM if you're interested.

I wish I could. I'm in the South Bay and only have a little time each week for gaming. I've only played BrikWars a couple times so far, so I don't quite feel "up to speed" yet. But my custom force is coming along nicely. Make sure to take lots of pictures at your big battle coming up on Saturday. I'm jealous!!
