I can't express how much I agree with this. I once attempted to watch Naturo, or however the fuck it's spelled, and the opening theme song was enough to cause a spontaneous reaction in my arm to chuck the remote at the TV and curl up in the fetal position. After wreathing in pain for a few seconds, I cupped my hands over my ears, closed my eyes, and fumbled my way to the manual controls. Luckily for me, I'd managed to hit the power off button with only a few tries. Any more exposure to that and I could've blacked out.

I am a fan of anime, and yeah there are a lot out there I wouldn't pay a dollar to even rent but there are a lot of great Anime out there with great story lines & art. I don't know what the median age is on this forum but I remember watching Robotech on TV in the 80's and it was far better and more complex than any even some of the regular shows on TV. Try watching some series like Evangelion, Basilisk, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai 7, and Berserk. Or if you don't want to commit that much time, try the standalone movies like, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell, Steamboy, Armitage, and Battle Angel (my favorite and hopefully James Cameron's next movie).

My God man! how did you manage that much exposure?! You must've built up some form of resistance to the virus. A normal American can only withstand about three minutes before total shutdown of the brain's higher functions.benkim123 wrote:You lucky dog! My friend made me watch 3 of them right after another... I pains me to think about it.

I would also suggest hyper-violent stuff, such as Blade of the Immortal and the Samurai X movies, where blood spews like it's flying out of a super-soaker.
There are tons of good Anime, but there is also an abundance of crap.
Edit: I would also like to point out that dubbed Anime sucks. The reason it sucks is because American voice actors CANNOT act. Get Japanese with subtitles. If you can't stand reading subtitles, you probably don't have the depth of thinking to get it anyways.
