does the barrel actually rotate? sweet!

i personally would make the barrels longer though for a minigun. i'd probably even just make it vehicle mounted (longer barrels = huuuuge gun), but that's just me. instinctually, when i see 1x1 cylinders as a weapon, i assume grenade launcher or rocket launcher.

OK, stats are finished and pictures are still to come.

Minigun

-1" to Move, due to the gun being so friggin' heavy

Range: (note: For all ranges, it is measured from the end of the gun)
Minimum: 6"
Max: 10"

Attack:

Normal: Attack up to 3 opponents, rolling 1d6+1 for 1 target, 1d6+3 for 2 targets, and 2d6 for 3 targets, and dividing the total damage among the targets.
Example: I chose to attack 2 targets, and roll 4, which plus 3 equals 7. I now have to divide 7 among the two targets. If they're two plain minifigs (with an armor of 4) then 1 could die, and the other barely live.

Spread: Attack everyone within a 70 degree range for as far as 10". The effectiveness of the shot depends on the proximity of the target.
The damage is as follows: 1-3": 1d6+2
4-6": 1d6
7-9": 1d6-1
10": 1d4

Shove: If an enemy unit comes within 1" of the minigun, you may roll 1d6, and if you roll 3 or higher, you succeed in knocking the enemy unit back 1" into your minimum firing range.

Parry: Due to the gigantesque size of the minigun, if an enemy attempts a melee attack on the user, there is a chance he may be able to parry the attack and knock the attacker back 1". To determine this, you must roll 1d6 and get 5 or higher.

TOO. CONFUSING.

in my recollection, memorization is usually a bad thing.

See, that's why I'm not going to waste time trying to memorize all my weapons and vehicles and stuff. I'm just going to print it all out, staple it togeather, and call it Codex: Red Arm Alliance. Or maybe I'll get one of those binders with transparent sleeves in them so I can just add and remove pages as necessary.

Yeah yeah, I know, confusing, but usually when I have things to memorize for weapons, I just have it written down and close by at hand.

Alrighty, instructions are here.

1. Attach the round piece to the handle piece

Image

2. Attack a 4x1 piece to the back of the round piece

Image

3. Attach a blaster (that's what I call them) to the end of the 4x1 piece. This'll act as your other handle. When I'm lucky, I can actually get the guy to hold it without dementing the gun.

Image

4. Now to assemble the barrel, start out with a turn-table.

Image

5. Attach a round 2x2x2 piece onto the bottom of the turn-table.

Image

6. Attach another round piece onto the back of the first one.

Image

7. Now attach the cylinders onto the barrel.

Image

8. Lastly, attach the barrel part to the handle part.

already see some improvements to make!

for holding it, is there anything really stopping the minifig from grabbing that first handlepiece? if that looks stupid, you can put one of those megaphones/blasters directly behind the main barrels of the gun. also, you have two black pieces and then the cylinders for the actual barrels. reduce it to one black piece and 2 sets of cylinders and it'll be proportional (that is, if you have 8 1x1s sitting around that aren't already part of a tank/gun).

Ok, I'm just going to say how my machine guns are set up. Like I said, I've got pictures on the way, once I get the camera to cooperate with me. basically, it's two megaphone pieces seperated by a 1x1 stud. Then we have a 1x1 transparent cylinder. Then we've got one of those transparent 2x2 disk plate thingies that only have one stud in the middle of it. Then we've got one of those torch holder parts sliding into the disk, and on the four arms of it I've got four 1x1 tapered cylinders, transparent of course, with 1x1 transparent studs on the end. The end result is a massive gun that has two hand holds, the minifig can only fire it standing sideways, and the recoil is so bad it pushes them back 2" when they fire it. Using their action one turn to brace can reduce this to 1", and the original gun goes to my Tek level 7 Warbot, who only gets pushed back 1", and if he braces, it doesn't push him back.

*Starts salivating over computer*

I just built one! It's sweet! Now, I'm going to mass produce a bunch of these and equip one member of my army in each formation (Not squad. I don't like those too much) with one. I'm also making some "alien technology" versions of it, by using fluorescent green and orange parts... THIS. IS. BRIKWARS!!!!!

Good to hear. I would mass produce them if I had the parts :(
