VACATION PROGRAMS & EVENTS

STAR WARS - JEDI TRAINING WORKSHOP: Are you a child who is interested in becoming a Jedi student in training? Join the Rec team and participate in several hours that have everything to do with STAR WARS!! Some activities may include: designing and making your own recycled droid, making a training lightsaber and learning what it is to be a Jedi Knight. May the force be with you....
Class is limited to 30 participants. Please send your child with a peanut-free snack and drink.
Coordinator: Event-FULL Date: April 22 Fee: $48
Eligibility: Ages 5-10 Thursday 9:30 - 12:00 PM


The town I live in has a recreation department, I got something in the mail today that had this in it.

I was thinking it would be cool if I showed up as a Sith Lord.
Or maybe one of the instructors walks in half way through dressed as a Sith Lord and trys to turn them to the dark side by offering force candy.


After reading the ad again, I see that Jedi are allergic to peanuts :)

I'm not sure it's an allergy thing. I wondered if they meant the characters in Peanuts, but who could hate Snoopy and Woodstock, even the Sith aren't that evil. So, I did some digging and I think I may have found the reason for the Peanut/Lumen ban. It apparently sends the Pet Sith Attack Squirrels mad...
