Also time travels with portal guns that allow creatures from other realms through wouldn't work with that system. I think if you know you're going to do it, maybe loess some elements with SN die to permanently burn, like capsules of dna for the mad scientist

This would be better accomplished through the Masters and Thralls system. Normally the Instant Benny from sacrificing a Thrall is single-use and temporary, but it'd be interesting to make a Master unit who could make the Bennies semi-permanent as long as he immediately bound them to another unit's stats. I'd say semi-permanently rather than permanently, since sacrificial power should always burn out; as soon as the benefiting unit dies, or the bound die rolls a '1,' the Benny disappears.
