New tanks (7/18):

General Tobias Wurlitzer, a grizzled veteran of many conflicts.
Image
Captain Dex Doubleday, a fierce warrior who only dual wields weapons.
Image
He carries two knives and two submachine guns.
Image
The elite force of colonial detachments, the marines:
Image
Armed with assault rifles and equipped with HUD helmets and (totally not life vests) amphibious armor.
Image
Long-rifle men and an officer (thank you to RedRover/Duerer/others for the idea on making horrible stud shooters look like rifles):
Image
Here is a shot of the long rifle vs. the standard infantry carbine.  Also pictured is an anti-materiel rifle that I made from spare battlepack parts (except for the scope):
Image
Rangers/scouts/snipers, whatever you want to call them:
Image
And finally, basic troopers.  They are equipped with the same HUD helmets as marines, as well as blaster carbines:

UPDATE 7/16- Police Forces of Caldemere

Overwatch:

Image
As the capital of the colonial Empire of New Potsdam, Caldemere is a bustling city.  In order to police this huge metropolis, Caldemerean officials have established a militarized police force.  Some say they are heavy-handed in their approach, but the government deems such measures necessary to combat anti-peach terrorism.  The colors of the City Police are orange, black, and white.

Image
The head of the City Police,Captain Gerard Pilkington.  He is a mean old geezer, a violent man with a bitter attitude towards the world (especially since he lost his leg).  He carries a billy club of justice and a shotgun.  To the right of him is the Commissioner of Public Safety, Horace McClintock.  He is a shady man and stays out of the spotlight, but he is certainly responsible for the "disappearances" of political enemies to the Potsdam regime.  He carries a secret briefcase, filled with who knows what.

Image

Security officers form the bulk of standard police forces.  They are equipped with shock-spears, a weapon that can be lethal or non-lethal, depending on how it is used.

Image

Riot guards are crowd-control specialists armed with shotguns.  Their chestplates serve to protect them from rioters, while their shotguns can be loaded with non-lethal shells.  However, they are often given orders to kill.

Image

The most highly trained of all police forces, The Seekers are experts in tracking down undesirables.  They make the most arrests of any police unit.  However they have been known to kill many citizens as well.  They are armed with standard blaster rifles, which have a stun mode as well.

Image
These guards are used to protect officials, work security details outside government buildings, and for ceremonial purposes.  They are armed with archaic rifles that would be ineffective in combat.

That's all for those guys, definitely going to make a cruiser or hoverbike of some sort.

Not bad.
I might have been the first one to utilize stud shooters as genuine ranged weaponry but I think someone else came up with sticking a tap in it as a scope.

I fist found that with the cross bow stud shooter and then moved to the regular one. I promptly outfitter all of my Celestial Kingdom foot soldiers with them.

Thanks for the feedback!  Duerer, it may have been RedRover that I saw first use the "tap" as a scope.  At any rate, credit goes to the forum goer(s) who did it first.

I realize these guys are a bit vanilla, but I think with some vehicles they will look like a proper faction.

Can you please re-size your pictures because its generally hard to see and appreciate the army when you can't bloody see it because the pictures are to damn large.

Noted.  Sorry, I'm new to using imgur since I lost my flickr account.  (Edit: resized em)

Here are some pics of a new hovertransport I made today:

Image

Armed with dual cannons underneath each side:

Image

It comfortably fits 6 troops, 2 pilots, and there is room in between the soldiers for 2 more guys or supplies/weapons

Image

A (poorly lit) shot of the interior, the troops sit on either side of the recessed part.  There are supply barrels stuck in there:

Image

Ass shot for good measure, showing rear thrusters:

I bought the rebel battle pack with the brown speeder and it also has that annoying stud shooter piece. Now I know what to do with it!
