Bleak Company

Bleak Company was founded in BR 2,016 by a mercenary by the name of Bad Tom. Bad Tom is known for being ruthless and cruel, he's also not the best fighter. Because of that he thought that killing would be easier if he had more people to help him out, thus Bleak Company was born. Bleak company since its inception has engaged in some minor planetary conflicts in the outer rim, mostly being hired by small time star empires and minor crime lords. More people have joined since its founding and its arsenal is mostly ground focused vehicles. Bleak Company is in the current process of making a minor command station/capital ship/war frigate to bolster its fleet. Bleak Company also dabbles in privateering on the rare occasion but will happily do so if paid to. Bleak Company has a tech level of 5 and is currently looking for work so if you need a crew of bloodthirsty mercs to boost your invasion force or whatever the need is, call us.

Thank you so much! I am currently working on a separate melee unit that will not have much star wars minifigs in it.

That's a lot of First Order troops. It's a good start, but like Zebra said, it's almost all stock SW figs and vehicles, maybe start by modding some stuff and then branch out into MOCs.

Yeah I know, I'm just using the easy constructs so that I can get used to the game. I also am in the weird limbo where I don't have many pieces (working on it) to build stuff because I got rid of all my old legos before I got into brikwars. Right now  I'm working on a completely original warship but after that's done I'll be remaking my hover tanks in a different style. I do wanna remain relatively thematically consistent with my minifigures because I am a huge Star Wars fan boy. I just play it off with the fact that Bleak Company steals all their gear from defeated foes but it's really the easiest way to excuse my stock minifigs.

Don't sweat the stockism, man. Everybody not looking to stroke his own ego knows its just interim until you get the monies & creativity to flesh out a full faction (unless you're WhiteEagle...). Just have fun. After all, if you're more into a beauty pageant than fun, Warhammer's a google search away...

Another thing; if you're looking for stuff to make your faction more distinctive, there are several major 3rd party manufacturers you can use parts from that might give whatever pizazz you're looking forward too.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I am currently thinking about doing animal themed masks for the different units without changing the armor much (i think it all looks so cool!). I basically started with nothing and gradually stockpiled battle sets till i had a significant amount of troops. Now I'm gettin serious about growing my faction, because I love the lore that surrounds brikwars.

If you want to go down the route of cheap chinese knockoffs (no comment) i know a few, but my internets being a little s**t right now, i can post the link later. Its called duo le pin, although i probably butchered the spelling. Not a massive selectio, but some neat vehicals that you could start with, and wouldnt feel bad a bout ripping apart.

The "offical stuff" is much better, but its an option.

I forgot to mention Bricklink too. Whoops. Every now and then someone comes up who doesn't know anything about it. For example, the space Swiss guys in my avatar were made using parts from Bricklink.

It's an online market place to buy and (mostly) sell Lego, including individual pieces.

I think i'll avoid knockoffs (don't really have anything against them just like the original stuff better), but yeah brick link is the place im checking out helmets. It's got a great selection and an easy to navigate website. I'm currently solving my lack of materials by buying them off of my friends that want to get rid of their old collections.

Bleak Company has grown in size since its unveiling to the Brikverse. It is now 166 mercenaries strong and still in the process of building their capital ship, hopefully it will be finished by the time the month is up!
