I'm fairly new here, and I would just like to introduce my main faction, The Scarlet Maskirovkas
Here's my attempt at a back story:
M-Tron had left them alone on their old mining planet. The day came that the director of M-Tron had decided that the materials being mined on the planet MP-0162 were no longer valuable. They withdrew, but in their rush left one remote outpost still populated, only accessible by ground vehicles.
The occupants of the outpost didn’t know they had been forsaken until they supply convoys ceased to bring the much needed food, water, and fuel. Soon the remaining 47 miners had to start rationing the food. The rations lasted for a few weeks, but eventually the supplies were down to a single meal’s worth. By now, only 33 of the miners were alive. The meager amount of food was entirely used up that day. The last 30 had no choice but to leave the outpost or die.
And leave they did. They took the Mega-Core Magnetizer and loaded it with all the fuel they had. Then they sped off in search of food and water. However, Darktronians had laid an ambush in one of the mountain passes. They swooped in like hawks and made easy prey of the M-Tronians. After taking the most vital machinery, they left the remaining 24 M-Tronians to die in the harsh elements.
But it was not to be so. As despair swept through the ranks of the survivors, a Hero rose to the challenge. This Hero was known as the mysterious Em, lover of candy and insanity. Under new leadership, the M-Tronians scoured the planet, raiding old wrecked trading vessels of the planet Krysto and the Assyrian Empire for supplies. Soon after, they found a suitable transport in which they repaired and left that barren planet.
Under a new command, the M-Tronians decided to forget their past and renamed themselves The Scarlet Maskirovkas. And so the rise of the Maskirovka Empire began.
Now that you managed to get through all of that, here are the pictures.
Overview of the entire army, minus the dropship.
Their main tank.
The business end. The tank has one pilot and one gunner. If the gunner is killed, there are controls inside the cockpit for the pilot to take control of the main guns. Besides that, it needs a name. Suggestions please!
The Maskirovkas' hardsuit. Not very innovative, but I like it all the same. Needs a name, too.
The dropship. I liked the design of Lego's Imperial Dropship, so this is what it's based off of. It is armed with an auto turret on top and twin lasers on the side. Besides that, it has storage for 4 FA-14 assault rifles and two airtanks.
Side view. This dropship has room for 4 troops and a pilot. This needs a name also. Man, I didn't think this out at all! All of my vehicles don't have names!
The leadership section of the Scarlet Maskirovkas. (Left to right) Officers, Lieutenant, Captain Em.
The Lieutenant. Stats are as follows:
Movement: 7 inches
They're basically officer stats.
Captain Em*. Stats are as follows:
Movement: 8 inches
*Has Hero status
Special Attribute: Candy Obsession: if there are any candy pieces on the battlefield, Cpt. Em is drawn to them, no matter where they are. Candy, when consumed, gives a +2 bonus to any die roll for the rest of the turn. The next turn, Cpt. Em incurs a -1 skill penalty.
The Cydonian body guard unit. They serve as bodyguards to Cpt. Em. They must be within 10 inches of her at all times. Rumor has it that these elite soldiers are deserters of the Britannian Empire.
Movement: 7 inches
The proud officer of the Cydonians. Has officer stats.
The 'specialists' of the Maskirovkas. (from left to right) Machine gunner, Rocket Trooper, Rail Sniper, Medik.
Your standard squad.
Each squad has a trooper with a scope on his rifle. The scope gives a +1 to skill roll when firing at a target, as well as adding 2 inches of extra range to his rifle.
Your standard trooper. Stats are as follows:
Movement: 6 inches
The guns of the Maskirovkas. (Top to bottom, left to right) FA-15 Rail sniper, FA-17 .50 caliber machine gun, FA-16 rocket launcher, FA-14 Assault Carbine w. Scope, Standard FA-14, FA-10 SMG, Saber.
Range: 7 inches.
*Can be dual-wielded
Range: 10 inches
Range: 12 inches
Range: 11 inches (3 in. Explosive radius)
Range: 11 inches
Here's the instructions to the machine gun. I thought it was a pretty neat build.
Total units: 2 officers, one Lieutenant, one captain/hero, 4 body guards, 4 specialists, 16 standard troopers, 3 armored, one pilot.
That's it for now! Tell me how you like 'em!
