In the middle of [[BR 2,009]] a number of factions were inspired to build armoured cars. These vehicles combine the rugged maneuverability of a jeep with the armour of a tank. They're not a perfect synthesis however... They have lost some of the strength of a tank and some of the agility of a jeep.
