Deceased Secretary-General of the Allied Nations
A promising ambassador from the isolationist Brickville Union, Coffee Naan was appointed as an acting Secretary-General to serve out the remainder of his predecessor’s term. His nature as a passive, compromise candidate initially suited him well for the job. The AN-TA War erupted during his tenure, however, forcing the AN to take military action against the Third Alliance. Coffee Naan encouraged peaceful, diplomatic solutions which impressed nobody. His weak leadership further fractured the AN, caused several other member states to leave, and ultimately contributed to the initial demise of the AN in the first part of the war. The MASS delegation motioned for a vote of no confidence which Naan then tabled. The Praetorian delegation then assassinated Naan with a concealed handgun, ending his reign as AN SG. Elections were held for a new Secretary-General, but ultimately were interrupted and eventually halted by the First Battle of New York.
