Galacian Republic
President Stepan Tesarik
Stepan Tesarik is the leader of the nationalist bloc. Groomed by his allies to be the figurehead of the alliance of nationalist, fascist and right wing parties in Galacia. His bloc seized bower after the "Orange Revolution" which was sparked by outrage at the previous president for appearing incompetent and indecisive after several systems in the sector were lost to separatist movements that directly opposed the mainstream populace's beliefs. Tesarik hails from the "Samberz" system, which was renamed to the Tesar system in honor of his family after he was elected president, seen as incredibly narcissistic by opponents.
Commander Matthias Hashek
Commander Hashek is a high ranking military officer who serves as the commanding officer of all forces in the Expansion region of the ESS, which serves as the frontline for the "Cold War" with the Zaphorzian Republic . He is also considered to be minor royalty as a Count, as he is a descendant of the Royal Family that ruled many years before the great war and even before the Elkossian Empire period. Hashek was one of a small number of Counts and Barons who still held their titles by the time of the G.R 2015 reforms. In G.R 2016, He personally decreed that one of the systems in his control be renamed to the "Samson" system, in honor of the Baron of the Zircon system, another Royal Family descendant and childhood friend of Hashek who was murdered in the year prior. He rarely takes off his mask and helmet, because he thinks it makes him look edgy.
