The Konfederacja Polska (also known as Confederation of Polonia among abroad nations) is a nation, which eventually grew stronger after an Communist occupation, both in economy and military. Despite being raided countless times by nations like the USSSR and Bavaria, the Poles managed to keep fighting and therefore never vanished entirely from the Nehellenium Galaxy.
Contents
History
The Confederation originated from the Kingdom of Poland, founded centuries ago by King Mieszko I. However, under Władysław II Jagiełło the Kingdom thrived in prosperity and political stability and was recognized as one of the most reputable empires in the Nehellenium Galaxy. At a certain time, the Jagiełło dynasty died out and with it the Golden Age. However, even afterwards, kings like Jan Sobieski proved the strength and determination of the Kingdom of Poland in the eyes of the whole galaxy, by crushing the Ottoman hordes in the battle of Vienna with one of the biggest cavalry charges in history.
But on the other hand, the political situation in the Kingdom deteriorated from time to time and the people was exausted from the many wars it fought, leaving it prone to it's blood thirsty and greedy neighbours, that lusted for Polish territory (among them, the USSSR, the Space Nazis and the Prussian state). Not even the greatest army could have resisted the vast hordes of intruders, that even were fighting each other off for the supremacy over Polish land. In the end, this bloody conquest was won by the USSSR, which quickly began to install a communist puppet government and to liquidate the whole Polish elite, including intellectuals, clerics and politicians. Many of them were forces to seek refuge in other nations, some of them offering their services to them. Unfortunately no foreign nation was ever interested in the restoration of a Polish state, leaving the Poles in their USSSR-occupied homeland in a hopeless situation

Government and Politics
The Presydent, who is elected by the people, serves as the Head of State of the Confederation, with Małgorzata Sadow being the first one in office. Furthermore, politicians of different political parties gather to a parliament, that makes political decisions and prevents the Presydent from getting shit done. Although the Church of the Great Creator has a great influence on Polish culture and works together with different Confederate institutions, Church and State are separated from each other by law.
Currently, the Confederation strives to regain it's former strengh and crush any nation, that invaded Polish territory at least once. In order to achieve that goal, the Poles rely on own military strength and economical power, rather than foreign aid. Additionally, the Confederation is ready to support freedom fighter movements (for example: Silvarian rebels), to weaken and destabilize the enemy, a stategy, that is also being refered to as Prometheism.
Foreign Relations
The Confederation's foreign policy aims for maintaining good relations with most Greater Powers in the BrikVerse, but also wants to present itself as a strong and powerful nation, that does not have to rely on foreign help. There are also some further specific relaitions with foreign powers, that are worthy to mention:
- Republik of Magyar: Although the Republik of Magyar stays away from most intergalactical politics, the Magyars have a very deep relationship with the Poles. Both nations stand together in times of war and do a lot of technological exchange with each other.
- Krakow Union: The relationship with the Krakow Union is a very complicated one, as there are big differences in the nation's opinions, especially regarding the use of magic and the nation's political orientations. However, both Krakow and Polonia, are too reluctant to wage a direct civil war against each other, since both nations are Polish nevertheless, and thus, none of them wants to shed Polish blood by Polish hands.
- Third Alliance: Polonia is hostile towards any country in the Third Aliance, for it has been invaded several times by them. Especially Bavaria and Akkadia are dispised for their use of witchcraft, that is considered to be impure and downright evil. Currently, the Confederation send several fleets to the Bavarian home system fleck, to join AN forces for the final strike on Bavaria and the whole Third Alliance in general.
- USSSR: Having occupied Polish territory for years, the USSSR is one of the worst enemies of the Confederation. Even until now, strong conflicts are common on the Polish-USSSR borders, in order to reclaim or defend territory.
- Space Nazis: The Space Nazis are considered to be "honourless cowards" by all Poles, for they have commited unforgivable atrocities on the Polish population, back when the former ones were still fighting for the Third Alliance. Betraying the TA and allying themselves with pwnies is regarded as a proof of the statement above. Even when the Space Nazis were a NATO member and also fighting against the Third Alliance, they are shot on sight by Polish fleets and ground forces.
Every Day Life
Poles inside the Confederation live under decent conditions. Most of them serve their Fatherland by either joining the army or strengthening it's economy by doing physical labor. Some Poles, however, migrated to different nations of the Galaxy and offered their expertise (mostly in craftsmanship) to them. Compared to most nations with a yellow majority, peaches are considered equal to yellows, regarding civil rights and citizenship. In spite of this, they have to face discrimination and harassment by yellow extremists every day. The predominant religion in the Confederation is the Faith in the Great Creator, having huge cultural impact on the Polish culture. Apart from this, a considerable Jewish minority is also present, which however used to be much bigger in the former Kingdom of Poland before the disaster, that was the Second Brick war. Religions, that encourage minifig sacrifices or black magic (like Cuthulicism), are widely shunned, with only a tiny fraction of the population (less than 0.01%) actually practicing them.
Technology and Science
Inspite of the stereotype of being a backwater nation (that is spread by communist propaganda), Polonia is in fact one of the most technologically advanced nations in the galaxy. The Poles mastered the art of forging Blue Transparent and Orange Transparent weapons, as well as making extensive use of laser weaponry. The most well-known example for the latter one is the Laserowy Gniew, a tri-barreled laser cannon with devastating firepower, that is used in naval and ground combat. However, the only neglected area if scientific research is Genetical Engeneering, which is regarded as a violation against the sancticity of life by the Church of the Great Creator. Even without the Church's opinion, genetical manipulation is shunned by the Polish population, for they have no need to strenghten themselves artificially.
Economy
After the Communist occupation, the Confederation heavily invested into Transparent Element Mining (mostly Orange and Blue Transparent) and Beer Brewing in order to boost the economy of the new nation and to can into space keep up with bigger nations acrros the Galaxy. These investments proved to be more than beneficial to the economy, as it grew stronger and gave the government a more solid basis to form armed forces, to defend Polish territory. Other important economic factors in Polonia are the export of agricultural goods and workforce to it's neighbors. Although the 45th Union recently declared an embargo on all Polish goods, Polonia's economy has not suffered significantly and still remained strong.
Important Organizations
Armia Konfederacji
The Confederate Army is composed of the majority of ground forces and is tasked to either attack hostile worlds or defend own planets. After reclaiming sovereignity, the Poles heavily modernized their military by themselves, without any kind of foreign funding, in order to keep up with other greater powers, dropping most pre-dark age equipment in the process. Today, the Polish Military offers a wide variety of ground forces, ranging from well trained infantry regiments to vast tank divisions. However, the Husaria, Polonia's elite cavalry force, remained to be an important and unique part of the Army, considering the fact, that the Husary to ride on horseback, instead of hoverbikes like other space civilizations.
Gwiezdna Flota
The Star Fleet has also recieved a remarkable modernization, so it can keep up to any other navy in the Galaxy. Most ships in the Polish navy are well known for their high durability, compared to foreign spaceships. On top of that, the Polish Star Fleet does also provide some specialized ground forces, like jetpack troopers, boarding parties and commandos.
Bracia Dobrzyńcy
The Brethren of Dobrzyń are a knightly order, that has pledged their alliegience solely towards the Great Creator and desire to cleanse the Galaxy from any kind of Magiks and filthy creatures. They work independent from the Army and Government of Polonia, but occacionally support them by developing new weapons, mostly bipedal hardsuits and warwalkers. Like any religious organization inside the former Polish Kingdom, the Order of Dobrzyń has been persecuted by the Russian occupation force, that had no success in eradicating the Order, though. The current leader of the Order of Dobrzyń is the Order Master Kaifasz.
Kościół Wielkiego Stwórca
The Great Creator is the deity, that is worshiped by the majority of the citizens of Polonia and is said to have not only created the BrikVerse and ABS, but also the world beyond, being inhabited by humans, who they see as the Creators heralds. Recently, the Church of the Great Creator has only regional influence, mainly due to past oppression by the USSSR. In that time, many worshipers were persecuted and Religion in general abolished, in order to further demoralize and humiliate the Polish population. Despite any attempt to crush the Church, it remains to be one of the most influential institutions in the Confederation, setting certain moral standards for it's followers. The current spiritual leader of the Church is the High Priest Tadeusz Aureliusz.
Polski instytut nauk przyrodnicznych (PINP)
Being responsible for most scientific matters in Polonia, the Polish Institute of Natural Sciences or PINS is a very large research institute with many branches in different universities across the Confederation. As the name suggests, it was specifically created to research in vast areas of natral sciences, including biology, chemistry, physics and astronomy, but also to compete with other bigger research institutes in the Galaxia Nehellenium. This institute also contributed in research more advanced weapons and armor platings found on common Polish equippment, but also cooperates with the Forgefathers of Dobrzyń, when developing new machines of war.
