The Universal Transport System originated in G.R. 1966 from a vision for a unified rail standard in the BrikVerse. As the proprietor of the original rail standard patent, UTS pushed for planetary rail networks across the Nehellium Galaxy and has rested on its laurels since. One of, if not the largest transportation conglomerates in the BrikVerse, Universal Transportation Systems has train networks on almost every civilized planet.
UTS's experiment in monorails ended in financial disaster due to the tremendous costs associated with implementation. After the program's cancellation, however, the concept saw a resurgence in popularity. Antique UTS monorails can fetch high prices nowadays.
