How can a build be illegal? Well, it's a term the Lego Group uses to describe building techniques they do not recommend. Basically, since tires aren't suppose to be used as rubberbands, it's illegal since the stress could snap the tire. It's not stretched very much - just enough to ensure the cohes...

It's as hard as fruitcake to get them all together without it blowing to pieces, but once you get them all together it works fairly well. Just make sure you use the right tire piece.

No, not really. I suppose that's all that holds any pair of bricks together, though. Just so you know, though, this isn't currently built. These are old pictures, so I can't get you any better views.

For now, there's only this Assault Mech. I'll be coming back with more infantry types and such. I'm contemplating making either a pick-a-brick order or something from Bricklink to augment my army.
