Re: Explosive weapon travel time
I'll be seeing how well a big eff-off artillery cannon works this weekend, so I'll finally have a vote to add to this. Planning on using it partially as area denial, by dropping massive fire field effects to box things in, then dropping actual explosions and such. My current thoughts on it is that b...

Re: BW 2018 Feedback
Originally, the hiding was a balancing factor - you got this guy who could increase your forces unfairly, but he couldn't participate in the fight, so you were one man down until he called in that unfair advantage. Meanwhile he's hiding out in the back line, making himself a more and more valuable ...

Re: The Heroic Team
These, plus a standard Hero, could make for a solid Sentai style 5 man band.

Love these guys. Their stage presence is fantastic, involving post-apocalyptic goggled costumes, killer evil scientists, and cardboard box robots.

Re: Orbital bombardment guns
Depending on how you're setting up your battle, this is the kind of thing that I like to use Supernatural Dice for. One Minifig is the designated Spotter, and has, say, 3d10 and 3d6. Roll range out to your target as needed, use the rest of the dice for damage. The AoE will depend on how many d10s yo...

Re: Creations that dock and combine
I feel like I'm being unnecessarily harsh in this thread, because I'm looking at this from a perspective of "oh no this will ruin my precious finely tuned system" rather than "how can I make fielding a Voltron the most fun for everyone involved." So take everything I'm saying in here with a grain o...

Re: Creations that dock and combine
If you just want to use them as a squad, what's the point of combining them in the first place? You shouldn't do something that crazy and dramatic without making it interesting somehow. I'm definitely in agreement there. Having a Giant Combiner mechanically be basically just a squad is less interes...

Re: Creations that dock and combine
I can definitely see where all of that comes from, and makes a lot of sense if I were to have bought, say, Voltron as a single Creation that wants to be able to split. I'm instead coming at this from the angle of "Voltron is not a Creation of its own, but instead is a Squad of 5 separately bought Li...

Re: Creations that dock and combine
What I always feared with combining robos what the loss of overall size with the newly formed unit. The size points of certain individual units could get lost once being integrated as the robo's limbs, since these aren't usually counted towards a mech's effective size. Teamwork from the Weapons Cha...

Re: Creations that dock and combine
Let's take Voltron as an example, a Creation that combines 5 into 1. Voltron gets shot by a single giant laser, taking 4 points of Size damage. Since it's a single attack, all 4 points have to go onto 1 of the Lions, yes? Would it be too cheesy to allow Voltron to redistribute the damage throughout ...

Re: Voltron, Defender of the Universe!
Would it be too cheesy to allow a Fully-Formed Voltron re-distribute size damage between Lions on its turn? How many extra Ü or CP could such an ability cost?

Re: Rocket range
The stats of Rockets is for using one without a launcher. Think of Sidewinders on the wingtips of an F-18. Launcher stats are for launching Payloads and Explosives that don't need to have their own way of moving. Think of a Railgun. If you're looking to cheese for a little extra range, I don't see a...
