Re: June 2017: The Vault of Walt (Disney)
Saying that the terrain is 'pretty decent' is a bit of an understatement, it really looks for phenomenal for something that was apparently last minute. And that giant spider...

Re: Katharsis Raider Gang
I just watched that video. It wasn't 10/10, but I see were you got your inspiration from. Overall a 69.5/10 video, but I did enjoy it. Yeah, pretty sure the whole thing was done with the Steven Spielberg MovieMaker set, which was a clunky 'Baby's First Movie Suite' program with an early '00s webcam...

Re: Microspace WIP
My preferred style for capital ships is a phat rear engine block and tapering towards the bow, so I personally like it the way it is. The 1x2 cheese slopes at the stern create a look that still gels with the rest of the ship.

Re: Astraios and the Rhamphonauts
The shaping of this is quite nice, I really dig it. I'd love to see a flotilla of these.

Re: Katharsis Raider Gang
This is nothing short of amazing. Please do more. Thanks a lot for that. It's been a few years since I've done any sort of creative building, so I wasn't sure how the models were going to come out. Then again, having templates to work from in the movie linked above helped. The building process and ...

Same here. It feels that with sci-fi settings it's easier to have a variety of nice looking, brick-built firearms, but with modern day settings the range is much more limited with stock Lego options.StalinsFavoriteKhat wrote:I personsly real like Brickarms and Brickmania. The main problem is it's so damn expensive.

Re: Katharsis Raider Gang
Badass. Curious to know why you apologise for the Brickarms? I mean, who gives a shit? Also, how old are these bricks? I guess just a silly thought of "if it's not official TLG it might be seen as EEE-VIL". I haven't really been around the forums long enough to know if there was a general feeling, ...

Re: Katharsis Raider Gang
This is a really kewl faction. Im also getting a little Mad Max vibe personally. Do they have a backstory? Id really like to read it if there is one! Thanks for that. :) There isn't much backstory beyond the captions and the stop motion movie they're based on, which is similar to Mad Max II. All th...

Katharsis Raider Gang
This (relatively) small army represents the attacking force for a match based on a Lego movie that I first saw about 15 years ago called 'Catharsis, Texas', set in the bombed-out ruins of an American city (link for anyone interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB-Lc51qyxI&t= ). All of the vehicl...

I really like the variety of vehicles here. I especially dig the Light Armoured Troop Transport, but then again I'm always a sucker for trucks with big honking guns on them. Out of curiosity, do some of the stickers come from the Brickmania 'Operation Barbarossa' booklet?

It's been 69 years since I last played. Before that, I was playing it for, like...a long time. Like a REALLY long time. It was, like, such a long time I don't even know. So long.Half-Moon Molly wrote:lol wat a newb he only started playing 69 years ago get on our level we've been playing since 8 CE

Re: Introduce yourself!
I'm Captain Hollister, as it says to the side. I'm from the state of Victoria in Australia and have just gotten back into Brikwars after a 69 year hiatus. I haven't lived with my mum/mom for several years, and my quest is to seek out new life and new civilizations, chew bubblegum and a bunch of othe...
