And here's a little something to don't forget reading my topic, and maybe sometimes asking for advices for painting.

Cheers!

Dot or stripe, it's a matter of choice. With a dot you can bring more impression to a figure's face, while stripe with this method is quicker and easier. It's totally up to you :) I prefer stripe more.

Not bad at all. The only thing that you really need to practice is the eye. Don't put down that brush till you are satisfied with it :) Later you might regret that you've stopped when you had the chance to paint it shitawesomasaurus. And as I see, your highlights are extreme :) Not a bad thing, for ...

Miniature painting - tutorials 'n stuffz

Well, many people (two, to be precise) liked my painting tutorials here, and said that I should start a topic. And also I don't want to hijack Karetsu's topic (till I'm finished with my Empire Topic Stealer Banner Bearer mini), so here you are. I am painting for a year and a half now, not a professi...

Could you possibly show the rest of us the tutorial for the eyes? I am for one following this with interest. Of horse, man! :) https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7vs3dVyt9GQ/TaAJRspZ9eI/AAAAAAAABxY/2vKFJYpVJRI/s512/DSCF0324.JPG Let's begin with a simple Codex Grey basecoat for the face. One of the ...

Wow! That elf is going to look fantastic! :) If you can, I'd appreciate a dwarf face tutorial. And here I go with the promised tutorial :) Sorry for being late, and for the shitty camera and paintwork. I dunno what's with me today :) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-QxBiV7l5YN8/TgHpc8uZloI/AAAAAA...

Nice job! I especially like the blue gems. Any freehand planned for the shield? Naaaay, I'll just simply put a stag decal on the shield from the bretonnian Knight of the Realm sheet :) I plan to use different decals on every "squad" (about 40 model), and a bit different paintjob. What a pity that y...

Today I've finished the elf. Here's a pic: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-8IwGbiaAk0E/Tf8JMVJhEhI/AAAAAAAAD64/1ipYD2Dao6Q/s512/DSCF0506.JPG When I first saw the Mantic elves, I thought that they are bad. But the somehow ridiculous poses and that interesting paintjob (white and light blue) made m...

Btw, do you guys/someone want to see the battle we are going to fight today? Dwarfs vs. Undead, no painted figures but could show how the KoW game system works. Sure :D If you take my advice, you should also try Armies of Arcana. Even I haven't tried it yet, players in hungarian forums says that it...

Thanks zirrian. I have already decided to do the elves more better, but later, with eyes painted. I'm going to use your tutorial. But first I have to assemble the last of the dwarfs...I think your tutorial could work on them too? With darker colours. Please, I'd love to see that picture! Here we go...

Painted figures are awesome, you are great, Karetsu :D But let me disagree with you on the elven eyes. I purchased a box of elven spearmen not so long ago, and because of your comment, I tried to paint a face of a r&f model. It was so easy :D His eyes are not much smaller than a normal WH High Elf e...

Well, a question that came into my mind. I don't like the shielded arms of the archers, so do the scout box have enough spare arms to make the archers without shields? Or is it necessary to buy the metal set to have them unshielded?

Thanks.

Heh. Superglue is bloddy ridiculous, gets over everything. I'm of the opinion that when it and duct tape meet, they form a bond capable of holding a rocket launch to the ground. But for metal you can't trust in plastic glue. Believe me, I've tried. Plus when you assemble your miniatures just to see...
