... and now I see where it says that, plain as day. Twice, even.
I presume the extra 1 CP for body armor is for the ability to circumvent this limitation?

This is with the 2005 rules, where armor costs S*N CP to give a size S creature Nd10 armor.
At least, if I'm reading it right. I might not be though - your math would explain why minifig body armor isn't a free tradeoff between stats (+armor, -move).

Yes, but it likely will not preserve game balance. For example, a mere 4 extra CP per minifig could give them a whopping 4d10 armor and +1" movement. 2:1 odds would in no way be a fair fight against that, though CP costs would suggest so. It's fine for Heroes because they make for one big target, bu...

What houserules do you use?
The title pretty much says it all. Although most people here seem to prefer the 2005 rules, I haven't seen anyone use a vanilla ruleset. Most everyone integrates a little of the 2001 rules or makes up a few of their own. Which houserules do you prefer, and why? Are there any modifications that are t...

The part I'm eyeballing is http://www.brikwars.com/rules/2005/7.htm#4 Scroll down to "multitasking," then further down to the section on vehicle controls. It looks like a vanilla minifig in a deathmobile can fire one gun or set of identical guns at one target. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any big...

More specifically, one target per action. You could have a number of separate gunners or upgrade the single pilot's mind to have a freakish cyber-connection to the machine, enough for every weapon to be independently targeted. Be sure to use lots of hoses and creepy black stuff. Heads-in-a-jar work ...

But the body armor brings their total armor up to 6. That means single pistol users have to crit to kill, and rifle users only have a 33% chance. If the melee have a shield (and are running straight at the ranged units) they can also parry, and halve that again. What this does is greatly incentivize...

Simple questions from a simple individual
I've got two questions, neither of which are particularly in-depth. 1) The rules (2005) regarding saved actions and countering are a little fuzzy. Do you need to have saved an action to counterattack? If you choose to counter instead of withdrawing, do you still get an action next turn? Can a ranged...

NorCal [SF Bay Area]
Considering the Bay Area's status as geek mecca, I find it odd that there isn't a Northern California thread already. Well, consider that changed.
