Re: Getting into 40k

If I had that kind of money lying around, I think I'd go for tau, as their look is very appealing to me, and they're pretty powerful in good hands.

Re: Pocket Dungeon

Ah yes, very enjoyable. But agin, it was before the purge... Side note: would anyone be ish-interested in PD with Heroica figures? because I bet construction of dungeon would be pretty neat with that small of a scale... and I have several Heroica figures. so.

Re: Urban Dead

orly? then go look up freerunning on youtube. Anyway, it turns out you can't scout a mall as your safehouse. Shame. Anyway, only one more level until I'm fully maxed out in levels (well, as long as I'm alive, which is a long time I hope)

Love the use of the monoclip, it's a nice addition and really ties the cockpit together. Well done sir!

Re: Urban Dead

Well, shotguns are better than pistols if you have the xp to waste looking for ammo and guns and such. Also, i believe you can hold much more pistol ammo than shotgun ammo. And melee combat is pretty much obsolete as soon as you can waste xp on finding ammunition.

Holy.... Wow. I just blew off studying for midterms and read that entire thing, and I am extremely, extremely jealous. And impressed. And jealous. Great find.

Like winning-the-lottery type luck. Cause that's the kind you need for 40k.

Re: So I'm making a board game of steampunk empire building.

Risk? Short? >.> Seriously, this. Your average game of Risk is 2-8 hours of arguing and bickering over alliances and back-stabbings and general hatred towards one another as-is. And how does plowing one's army all the way across Europe and into Russia not make sense? I've found that risk is a great...

Re: Pocket Dungeon

Ah yes. Oloth's forum game ran into a bit of a wall when the sprites were brutally murdered by his computer... Such a tragedy. But the premise still shows promise ( )

Re: Urban Dead

If you can find a gas can, you can soak a zombie in gas and shoot em with the flare gun to increase the damage... but gas is better used elsewhere, IMO. And general note: since we're gonna be staying next to a mall for some time, it would be wise to acquire shopping and bargain hunting, it helps im...

Sounds like a risk/Civilization hybrid. Interesting.

Re: Urban Dead

Wow. Made it into the factory, but just barely. For some reason, Ross's map is extremely inaccurate in terms of entry points, I spent about 15 AP trying to find my way in, found a place (the hotel, I believe), and crashed in the factory.

Right... hence why I asked if the buildings need it... because ammo is always good use of encumbrance.
