Hi everyone! Who wants to design a Halloween Hellhunt banner for the champion pages of our Halloween Hellhunt winners? Maybe we could even have one for those who submit a battle as well?

We're probably looking for something around the size of our featured post banner:


And we probably want something that looks badass and is Halloween Hellhunt themed, so if you make a submission, post it here and we'll see which one looks the best. Thanks!

This is my new entry, ty overbuddy

I gave it a shot, mate. Not entirely happy with the result, but I could tinker with it for months and not be happy with the result. So I hope you folks like it. I built it in 500x500 px, not really realizing that the blocky text wouldn't be all that visible in 100 height, which is around the height of that image in the OP. I shrunk it down to 200x and it seems legible now. Dunno if it's too big for a sig now, though. (Although, none of the Lords of Battle currently even have a badge or anything in their sig anyway).

EDIT: Soooooo...I've just realized that maybe you weren't looking for a badge to award the winner so much as a banner/blue ribbon to tag to their Report thread? Whatever, either way.



And if you want the larger image, maybe someone can do something better with it.

I think we should use OverIb's banner and Quantum's badge, then.

Yeah, I was thinking we could tag the top of the battles with a banner. Yours looks really good though, so maybe we'll use it anyways or modify it a tad and then use it.

Here are some more designs, more simplistic in nature. And kept to the 100 height guideline. Let me know if you like any of these or if you still prefer the jack'o'lantern design.

These look like they should be on a t shirt. Good stuff. I think I specially like the first badge since it sorta looks like the swords and laser pistols are OT.

I like this version, but I made a few adjustments.
Obviously not a final image, this just shows changes I would make.

Title bigger, by moving the year out
heads bigger
swords still need adjusting, handle shorter to show cross guard under year, blade longer to almost touch title.

The white heads and swords seem to pop more for me.

Do we want a date on the banner, or should we leave the date off so we can use it over and over?

Moving the date to the centerline is a good idea.

I like the idea of the date kept in. Keep the workfile around and swapping the dates out year to year is super easy. (Now that I look, I think I accidentally forgot to save the psd but the image is simple enough to recreate...and then remember to save the file). Anyway, it's up to you. If I get more time, I'll make some of the proposed changes and upload some new images.

So overv and I won the banner contest right? I wanna see that shit posted into people's entries.
