it is in pre alpha so it usually crashes, but it's really fun when it works! google it!

first you make you're flag, then you're city, then you're moonbase, then you're flagship, than you get another flagship, kill some newbs, and walk into the sunset, only to realise the game is a lot bigger than you thought, the worlds have appropriate orbits, the are also round, there is no limit to the game space, it literally conects solar systems, and it's an MMO, in first person! it is freakin wicked!

except spore propaganda was just that, this is already tangible, and real, although the servers are currently crap because they are fixing stuff, o and you have to be mature in the SOH forums....

Dude, Spore propaganda got me to buy the ultimate edition of the game on release night. If this lives up to what I was supposed to experience... Fuck. Yes.

Not sure if my laptop will run it though.

if it supports pixel shader 2.0 it'll run, and the lag is from the server not you're computer, the're having som epropblems with that. just launched a deffense satelite into orbit to shoot down invaders.

Holy fucking fuck i had to restart this game 3 damn times and wait for half an hour every time at the create new empire screen.

Im on my last one here, finally figured out how to make a theoretically good race and have a beautiful empire hierarchy.

Ya see, you need extra body parts to have built-in weapons, and psyonic ones like the top empire has can be resisted by creatures with minds not in their heads. So now my elf-ish people (just took normal race and made em really tall, also changed hair a lil so they look like the Fonz) are waiting forever for their new emperor to log into the overloaded server.

The second I get in im making a city and first and foremost a farm. Fuck manufacturing motorbikes and SUV's, im gonna get a flying animal and ride it around.

EDIT: forgot to tell you, the elfpeoplez have a size three (!) Sonic weapon. Can't find the button to use it yet, but seeing as im the only one here it should be fine.

I'll try to have some sort of infrastructure set up for new players. Build stores around the center of the town before i make houses and whatnot.

I hear you start the game with a knife made out of the best metal in the game, so that and my race's inherent really fucking loud yelling (I imagine them swearing so violently it physically damages the enemies) should probably keep me( and anyone who joins) alive for a good while.

Lol, I think, for simplicity, im gonna kill the tutorial guy and make a flag out of his skin. Maybe he has clothes i can loot.

Reading some forums, it looks like one of the first things you wanna do after setting up a city that has enough people and jobs to function without you is develop spaceflight, but to make environment suits FIRST. Otherwise it seems, people accidentally hit E and exit the rocket and die.

EDIT: Looks like every single server is down, the only one up is the admin server. At least that means someone's there trying to fix the thing. I've saved my race and made a flag design, whaddya think?

Well, the game is working fine now, but I've run into some personal problems. It seems the game doesn't like Wacom tablets, and is fucking with the menu screens something awful. Seems like others have the same problem, and the developer says he'll get right on it as soon as the servers are stable.

In the very least, i've managed to kill the tutorial guy (he didn't drop any clothes, but i can make leather from his carcass) and got my very very sweet tech level 32 Vucium knife. I've stayed away from the animals, but i've noticed a few behaviors in em. One of the carnivore species looks like a big green wolf and I do mean BIG.
I saw him nomming on this little dragon centipede thing with wings, which i hope i can tame at some point.

Thanks to the issues i have tho, I accidentally harvested some Hay instead of a Log and i can't drop it. Once I have that fixed (log in with a diff computer maybe?) I'll carve a sewing needle out of the log with my knife and make a backpack out of the tutorial guy carcass. Then I will have more than 3 slots to carry things in, and will go about harvesting plenty of logs and rocks and things. Until I declare myself an emperor animals won't harm me if i don't harm them, so I might be able to gather some more leather and sow some pants or something, the tutorial guy didnt drop any.
