Yes, Grey Knights are getting a new Codex. I've seen some new artwork from their concept artist. Really awesome stuffFulizer wrote:If you going to play as space marines or orks, go for the assault on black reac boxset, by far the best value thing they've ever done.
also, I play Tau, its all good.
I eard that the sisters of battle andd grey knights are going to getnew coedxes, even if they don't, get sisters of battle (overpowered to an extreme, 11 points a model for (potentially) fearless models with (potentially) Amour peircing 1 (the best) guns).

but were thehy, or were tey not supposed to eb the most awesome people in their fictional universe, I think GW got some pictures of 5 grey knights surrounded by about 9001 deamons, and claiming they came out on top.
they're obviousley more awesome in the plot than in the game, but at 25 points a model (being able to be outnumbered 4 to 1 by orks and anything up to 6 to 1 by Gaunts) you really woudnt want them to cost more.

I play guard and marines, but I havent touched them in a while, for which I blame two things:
6: brikwars.
7: I have managed to force myself not to buy anything from GW until I have build and painted all the minis that I have on the shelf looking at me in anger from their unpainted eyes, lenses and vision slits, some of them still on the sprue. ( I've been procrastinating this for ages.)
it has some good points though, but most of them arent game related: theres nothing like unpacking the entire painted part of your army, putting it on a table, and look at the ranks upon ranks of infantry you have painted yourself. all of them would be honored to die on the field of battle to thank you for their paintjob and conversion work. it might not be golden demon material but every piece of plastic in their bodies knows that its better than nothing and that their human leader has done the best he could or bothered to do.
the other point I like is the background: theres a lot of work in there. but even more awesome are the stories of your own army: I love things like guard squads killing carnifexes due to ridiculous die rolls, or the lone space marine scout sergeant that took on a warboss to buy time for another squad to hold an objective. things like that are the stuff of legends, and I like to reward the models by naming them, and perhaps some extra conversion work (trophies)
I guess Im more of a collector and modeler than a gamer though.

if 20 chickens can fit in a brick, how many pingpongballs does a crocodile have to eat so it can swim faster than a washing machine?

don't do it...just don't .GW made space marines to gawk over and then made the other races to blow up. so in other words 99.9999999% of players are marines and the guys who arn't have the hardest time even competing with marines
but it is really fun to build/convert/paint guys
but believe me the back story makes no sense the gameplay is infuriating and boring so don't even bother

Actually, no. You're speaking from the perspective of someone who's falling for GW's Space Marine hype by thinking they're unbeatable, while really they can be beat really easily.spartan117 wrote:don't do it...just don't .GW made space marines to gawk over and then made the other races to blow up. so in other words 99.9999999% of players are marines and the guys who arn't have the hardest time even competing with marines

You also seem to give up really easily. I don't doubt it.

To be honest, I'd go with what you want to do, not what a bunch of us online tell you to. For srs, mang.Ross_Varn wrote:It appears my idea is not well met. Hrm.
Perhaps not then. Ah well.
Regarding marines: very 'ard, but each book seems to have new and more creative ways to kill my 15 point badasses. To me, at least. That said, I still have fun when I (rarely) get time to play, and am not letting something like that slow me down.
It's a secret to everybody.
