Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
I don't want to party with these sinners, but this is an important way to learn more about fairie culture. It's better that I know what to report on when I get back home.
I choose Charisma (10).

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
You are shown to a large balcony full of fairies eating, drinking, and dancing. Some are stretched out on pillows smoking pipes and cigarettes on long holders. A group of fairies with fluorescent tattoos sit in a trance playing psychedelic, reverbrating music on large wooden horns. Four of join in the merriments without restraint; Gregor is more careful.
The rest of the night is something of a blur to most of you when you wake up the next morning.
Gregor wakes up in a modest bed in a room at the palace. He left the party at a responsible hour and is not sure what the others ended up doing.
Saucix wakes up in a large and soft bed stading in a messy room; his clothes are spread all over the floor. But there seems to be other clothes there as well... Adarim sits up next to him, equally undressed. Somehow he looks better than the night before.
Saucix gains 100 XP.
Adarim gains 26 XP and +1 Charisma.
Gerald wakes up on the balcony in a pile of flowers and fruit, some of them squished. He remembers getting into an argument about the sun with a fairy, but he's not sure what it was about. It's still dark outside and the sky is full of stars.
Gerald gains 96 XP.
Nisos wakes up in a soft, but not very big, bed. The room is lit very strongly, and Nisos blinks as he tries to pinpoint the source of the light.
An otherworldly voice echoes through the room.
"BE NOT AFRAID."
Out of the light steps a ten foot tall being with the head of a mammoth, the body of a bear, and the wings of a hawk.
"YOUR PRAYER TOUCHED PÄKKAAN AND HE GUIDED YOU TO SAFETY WHEN THE NIGHT WAS DARK AND YOUR BLOOD CONFUSED. NOW HE ASKS FOR YOUR SERVICE IN RETURN. YOUR COMPANION CARRIES A SWORD OF TERROR AND FLAME. IT HAS THE POWER TO DO GREAT EVIL, AND MANY WOULD WIELD IT TO BRING RUIN TO THE WORLD. YOU MUST PROTECT THE SWORD AND YOUR COMPANION WITH YOUR LIFE."
The being and light fade away and disappear.
Nisos gains 160 XP.

"oh, oh god"
Nisos half-climbs half-falls off the bed, before kneeling and feverishly reciting every prayer to Pakkaan he can remember. After making sure nothing else supernatural happens, he cautiously gets up and checks himself for all his posessions, before leaves the room, from there he looks for any familier landmarks.

Nisos finds all of his possessions in the room, and no further supernatural things happen. He leaves the room and comes into an irregular corridor. To the left it slopes upwards sharply, to the right it has a number of varied doors on it sides before ending at an exit to the party balcony.
Saucix feels sore in general. And hung over.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Oh, never was entirely clear on this point. How large are the Faeries?
