But yeah, I prefer Dragonborn.
Longsword > Bastard sword. Although it IS somewhat of a good race if you're going spellsword.

Dragonborn are the second-worst race in 4es PHB. It's there specifically for teenagers who are obsessed with dragons. There's a dragonborn-specific paragon path too, and if you're a sorceror you can specialize in dragon-magic. So you can just be way too dragonborn.

To be fair, dragonbreath is kindof cool, but only because it's a minor action. Later on it gets super lame.

I'm interested in this, but I must admit that I haven't ever actually played a game of DnD, but I have some idea of how things work from playing KOTOR.

You guys could just explain important things as they come up I suppose . . .

KotOR isn't much like D&D.

So that's 4. I guess you can make your character sheets now.

For those without a Player's Handbook, here are the races listed there:

Dragonborn: Favors Warlord, Fighter, Paladin
Dwarf: Favors Paladin, Cleric, Fighter
Eldarin: Favors Wizard, Rogue, Warlord
Elf: Favors Ranger, Rogue, Cleric
Halfing: Favors Rogue, Ranger, Warlock
Half-elf: Favors Warlord, Paladin, Warlock
Human*
Tiefling: Favors Warlock, Warlord, Rogue

Classes:
Sword-liking classes: Warlord, Fighter, Paladin
Band-aid(ish) classes: Cleric, Warlord
Bow liking class: Ranger
Sneaky class: Rogue
Magikey Classes: Warlock, Wizard

Roll 3 6-sided dice to determine each of your stats.

When you're done with that, I'll have some other stuff.

I don't think dice is a good idea. We should use the point system.

EDIT: Also, do have a preferred format for character sheets?
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

if you have a scanner, scan your stats from a 4th edition character sheet.

If not, just type them here.

If anyone's interested, there's a good excel character sheet here. All the options are in drop down menu, and it calculate the base numbers on it's own. A must if you don't have the rulebook.

By the way, what is everyone else making?

====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&DI Character Builder ======

As a note to ahp:

Gnolls get dex/con bonuses, move 7, low-light vision, and +2 to Intimidate and Perception. They do +2 damage while bloodied, have Ferocious Charge as an encounter power (like a charge but +2 damage, and +4 damage as well as +4 temp HP while bloodied), and do an extra +2 melee damage when two or more allies are adjacent to a target. Oh, and they speak common and abyssal.

Parrying Dagger (from Adventurer's Vault) is just like a dagger, except provides +1 AC if held in the off-hand.

If you have any more questions, let me know.

I'll probably make a fighter.

What program, IV?

I wish I could participate, but in 2 days I'm leaving, and won't have computer access for 5 weeks.
A Wizard is never late. Nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
