Oy, RM, really. There's a lot of text here, I know, but it's important text. At least read the paragraphs where you're mentioned and where the stuff you're trying to interact with is.

The barkeep downs the glass and fills another one, sliding it down to Dundaree before turning and stowing the bottle in the rack. He presses a button under the bar and heavy shutters slide down over the racks. Turning back to Dund, he shakes his head. "Been on this ship five years and never been stopped by pirates. Mark my words, there's someone else shooting at us." He hesitates, then looks around. "Sure, a few of the passengers are probably armed. It's up to the captain to decide what he wants to do though- if he's going to negotiate, there's no way that armory is opening."
Alec strides over to Dessh, joining the group of passengers attempting to convince the guard that they need their weapons. The guard, one of three brothers, raises his voice over the commotion. "Please! Folks! The captain is talking to the leader of the attackers, there's no need for panic or weaponry!" The hull shakes ominously under his feet as he says this, seemingly just agitating the crowd more. Alec and Dessh exchange a glance and move towards the guard, asking him if they can see the captain. Harried, and remembering that they're Jedi, he lets them through. Dessh looks back at Alec as they take off towards the bridge- he would have preferred going alone. Alec attempts to remember how to affect someone's mind as they run though the forward lounge. That wasn't something he had covered in training with his Master, and he has no idea just how to go about it.
Dundaree glances up as the two Jedi disappear past the guard towards the bridge. He had a feeling that one of them was looking at him.
Gal had spoken to the woman a few days ago, when she was discoursing about galactic exchange rates over dinner in the lounge. She had said that she was the daughter of a well-known trade mogul, on her way home from a tour of the well-off trading outposts in the Mid Rim, although she seemed to carry herself differently. As her door slides shut, Gal looks around and, unnoticed, disappears into the hallway behind her. Pressing her ear up against the door, she attempts to make out what the woman is doing. [14] She can make out fragmented sentences of the woman's speech as the thumping continues behind her. "-irates when we jumped in sys-" "-ave to call it off-" Gal clearly hears a rather emotional line, "-can't do this anymore, Joam, it's too much! I don't think I can...", followed by silence. There's suddenly a frustrated curse, and then footsteps returning towards the door. Gal quickly stands up and moves down the corridor, turning around as the door opens. "Ah- Ino!" she says, remembering the woman's name. "What's wrong?" The woman shakes her head, saying, "I don't know... I was trying to send a message to my m-" she blinks, "-mentor, but the hypernet seems to be down... I don't know..." She walks back to the main area, rather distracted. Gal frowns after her.
Gozrak kneels next to the complicated engine venting array, thinking rapidly as he looks at the cylinder. If he's right and remembers the manual correctly, the coolant rewiring comes through this port and interfaces with the main tube... here. [34] Gozrak cuts through a bundle of wires and splices a few others together, then hits the top of the cylinder with a good smack. The high-pitched squeal of the array stops, replaced by the relatively constant sound of the shields being hammered under fire. The human stands up, scratching his head and looking at the mess of wires, then shrugs and points at the main battery of switches. "That'll work for a bit, but we still need to relieve the shields load. See if you can get the power levels worked out."
Alec and Dessh stop at the front of the forward crew lounge, confronted by the two other guards who are standing in front of the doors to the bridge. They exchange a glance, and then meet the pair's eyes. Dessh raises his hand, saying, "We are Jedi of the Republic. We want to help. Could you let us speak to your captain?" The two shift uneasily, and one hesitates. "Hold on." He turns to a companel built into the wall and flicks it on, calling the the ship's officer. "The two Jedi on board want to talk to the Captain. Does he need their help?" You can't see the officer's face clearly, but his tone seems slightly panicked. "No! No, don't let them onto the bridge, we can't afford to have them here." "Why-" "Don't bother, you'll know in a bit anyway. Keep them out of here."
The man turns back to Dessh with an apology on his lips. "Sorry, but it doesn't look like you'll be able to see the Captain." Dessh frowns, his scales contracting across his forehead. "Are you sure about that? What if I decide to- go anyway?" The two guards exchange glances this time, seemingly rather nonplussed. "Well, we'd try to stop you of course-" The deck quivers, shaking all of you about. The two look at each other again, and then back to Dessh. Alec snorts, saying, "It sounds like we'll have more trouble to deal with in a minute anyway."
