I'll let you and Sunbro sort this out, I will prepare my luggage for the trip.
He then packs his backpack, checks out of his room, and meets the group outside after they finish.

I awkwardly look back and forth between the two negotiators for a moment, smiling a little too widely. Then I heft my backpack and put it on.

Gregor says:
OK, well, uhm, I'll just be...outside...with the mage...while you two sort this out.

Gregor acts:
I walk outside and lean against the wall, waiting. I'll keep my eyes open for anything interesting.

I fully expect to actually get paid before we leave.

"12 and 12 is fair and fair. You have my word and my sword on this mission, and I shall see it through to the end. May the glorious sun rise and melt away the evil!"

"Right, let our journey begin."

You march through the northern gates and head into the snow-covered wilderness, relying on Saucix's dream memory to guide you. The first day of travel is uneventful; the land is white, the sky is blue, everything is silent.

On the second day, as you crest a hill, you find a great herd of reindeer in your way. There must be over a hundred animals, grazing frozen grass through the snow.

You also notice that you are right now crossing the tracks of a lone wolf. Looks like it's been running from east to west along the top of the hill.

These tracks...well, there's nothing wrong with wolves in these parts. But something strikes me as odd. I think it'd be worth investigating where these tracks are coming from.
To self:
A lone wolf...don't wolves travel in packs? Could it be some sort of sign from Rajcha?

"What size is this alabaster beast we search for? Could it leave the prints of a wolf? I suggest we go around this herd - and in the direction of these tracks. We seek the beast, and shall not avoid it."

[Silverdream]

"Nay, 'twas a great beast the size of three bears. Twas not a common wolf."

Gregor says to Saucix:
I defer to your judgement in this. However, we should be wary and watchful. Such a creature travelling alone as to leave tracks like this may be desperate, and therefore, dangerous.

[IVhorseman]

"I am not afraid of danger, we shall meet the menace head on."

Gerald Longhouse retrieves his longsword and begins to follow the tracks.

"Which of you shall follow? I will face the wolf."

OOC: this is probably not actually a wolf but something way worse - i don't want to fight alone, but Gerald Longhouse is down if you guys aren't.

"Must we kill this lone wolf? He's probably just tracking the Reindeer."

"It poses a threat and must be neutralized"

"Very well, I might as well make sure it's done quickly."

Saucix gets his Longbow out, prepared to demonstrate Elven archery to the others.
