So I pretty much exclusively play pokemon games on Pokemon showdown, and by now they've introduced all the Gen VI pokemon as well as the pokebank stuff, which is super cool.

However, fairy type scares the hell out of me and when I see it, I panic.

I also don't really know which new pokemon are the totally awesome ones vs. mediocre.

Can anyone give me a run-down of some of the newest awesome pokemon? So far I've figured out Talonflame and Aegislash, but that's about it.

There are only 152 pokemon, and I reject any game that pretends otherwise

Also Houndoom is a thing.



And let's not forget Volcarona! As badass as the original 151 were, the new pokemon make for a) extremely diversified play and b) totally awesome-looking badass animals. What's great is that they keep adding shit to all the older pokemon too so they don't get outclassed, so Alakazam, Gengar and Starmie are all powerhouses still.

It, and it's pre-evolutions, are the only Ghost/Steel pokemons.
In shield mode, it has the highest defense and special defense for a Ghost type, and is tied for highest special defense for Steel type.
In blade mode, it's tied with Dialga and Mega Scizor for best special attack and attack for Steel type.
And if fairies really worry you, Steel does double damage to them, and takes half damage from their attack.

I already run a team with an aegislash mixed-attacker, as well as a talonflame.

What's the deal with Goodra? Malamar? Other gen 6ers I'm forgetting about?

Missingno is infinitely better because there's TWO versions of it on SaltyBet, and both win every fucking time.

I've been thinking about buying a 3DS XL for the sole purpose of getting this game. Is it worth it? Also, can I transfer Pokemon from Black/White?

My save file was ruined forever.

My new save file is fine.

But the Hall of Fame is totally fucked up.

There's no way I had 5 Snorlaxes and a Magikarp all lvl 100 beat the Elite Four.
