Anyone ever attempt this brand of self-inflicted torture? I downloaded the mod a few days ago and despite the difficulty I'm hooked.

If you're a Zone veteran, its worth a shot. Almost everything has been changed; I was surprised to find that the maintenance tools are hidden in different places and all of the stashes now contain mostly junk items; no more finding a hidden SVD at the start of the game...

Then you're going to love this mod because that problem is multiplied manyfold.

I should have mentioned that at the top by the way; sometimes you'll experience a good bit of lag, and I've had it crash on me about three times so far. My solution to this is just to quicksave constantly. Be ready to buy a new F5 key.
