I've played the first of three episodes and it's being absolutely incredible. In a time where "retro" is a gimmicky buzzword for anything with pixel art style and where good shooters are few and far between, Dusk truly stands out with that ludicrously fast-paced 90s FPS gameplay and superb level design, all coated with a visual theme that doesn't look forced on itself. Soundtrack is eerie and :666:, composed by Andrew Hulshut (most recently known for Brütal Doom's metal remake and Quake Champions OST). Chock-full with secrets, video options, Endless mode and Multiplayer (although still a bit barebones), this game was a very pleasing release to finish 2018 with after being in development for a while.

Can't recommended it enough for anyone who appreciates a good shooter. I'd even throw in a few bucks more in for the extras of the 'Intruder' edition.

And now to try and finish the semester properly before getting right back into it.
