Another D&D game?
I got DnD 4th Edition a month or so ago. I kinda get the system, enough so that I could DM. Before I consume time thinking of a plot, I'd like to see who's interested.
Anyone?
Anyone?

DnD runs best in meatspace, but I'm down.
What level should we start at?

I only played DnD once. I was in high school at the time, so I don't remember much about it.
The only thing I can recall is that I ended up running full speed off a cliff, got bored, and went into the other room to watch Resident Evil. Which sucked.

I said "no" to drugs, but they just wouldn't listen...

I'm dropping out if it's 3.5 edition. 3.5 is boring and role-playey. 4e is manly, and puts balls on your balls.
Anyways, I have the 4e character builder, which is automatically updated with new classes and races as they are released. If I use a newer one and include all the detail on powers and whatnot, would that be acceptable? I'm thinking either a warforged fighter or a barbarian of some sort.
Hell, maybe even a minotaur fighter.

I'd be interested, if only to give 4e a fair try.
By the way, if you're interested in 3.5, you can download Pathfinder Beta for free on this site. It's an updated version of 3.5, but you might need to refer to the d20 srd to fill a few holes.

3.5 does indeed have eladrin, but they're not in the main PHB. Besides, Eladrin are terrible. They're everything lame and annoying about elves, with none of the awesome bad-ass parts, and the lame parts are magnified. Also they're snobby and pretentious.ahp77 wrote:I don't think 3.5 has eldarin.

Like an elf, who is much more badass?
I haven't even looked at 4e yet. That being said, I also have not touched my 3.0 or 3.5 books in ages. I just liked 3.5 because there was so much crap that was official. There was nothing that you couldn't do.
I tried an online game a few years ago over e-mail. It took forever to get anywhere, kinda sucked. My character was the most awesome character ever. Opee Brandair; Halfling barbarian and fighter extraordinaire. He dual-wielded a short sword and a dagger, threw daggers like a ninja, and raged like a crazy mo-fo. He hated zombies more than anything, yelled instead of used logic, and puked up a lung once after fighting a gigantic spider with saw-blade thingies at the end of its legs, but lived to kill some pirates and some more zombies. I miss him.
