I was contemplating buying it, but I wasn't sure if many people still played it.

Are there enough people and servers online to justify spending ten to twenty bucks on it?

yes!!!!!! ther are <a href='http://tinyurl.com/y42zurt'>alot</a> of people on halo 1 PC. if you have no buttplugs on, there are like 27 pages of servers.like i said, im mas73rch13f

On the Xbox, my brother and his friend found a method for playing online for free (no, it wasn't illegal). I used to play Halo 2 occasionally.

I still have Halo 1. I play it sometimes, but it is the console version, and I don't have Ethernet Cables, so no more than 4 players at a time. And the black armor doesn't display right. Looks more silver/gray than black.

You can just use a regular phone cord to hook two or more XBoxes together. I had many Halo nights before the dawn of Call Of Duty on my friends and I where we would hook two XBoxes up to eachother, two TVs, one team of four on one TV and another team of four on the other. Wicked fun.

I really don't play Halo 1 anymore, except for the nostalgia.
Still, we could have a Brikwars forum game. Maybe even play Halo 2 or 3.

This thread is (so far) just about Halo for PC. I do have Halo 1 and 2 for XBox as well, just no XBox Live.
