Planetside 2

Take your average Call of Duty or Battlefield map.

That's how big one of the control points in Planetside is.

64km2 maps. Completely open. Aircraft, Tanks, and Infantry smashing each other over resources.

That is planetside.


I'm going to be making a Brikwars "outfit"(guild) once the Beta comes out midway through July.
Outfits are locked to a particular faction, so as a result, the outfit will be Terran Republic. Think of the Terrans as... Scythia and the Immortals being mashed together into one epic faction.

I say we join the Fascist Terran Republic, because Freedom Fighters don't usually make good politicians and the Barneys look silly.

You need politics? It's called freedom, man. The Good Guys and all that.

In all honesty, we'll probably have companies in all three factions with various characters. It's going to be free to play, after all.

My friends and i played Planetside 1. If there's anything that it instills; it's a sense of Loyalty to your Faction. Hence why i'm playing Terran Republic. I've seen a fight between some NC and Vanu guys break out at school, back in like... Grade 7. All the guys in my class played it, and we were loyal to the point where Terran Guys didn't hang out with *spits* Vanu guys. Just didn't happen.

I played Planetside 1

I had crappy frame rate in battles with my old machine.

My first day in game I was shooting at some giant robot thing.
Several days later I was looking at my kill credit list, it was on my list.
I only shot at it for maybe 30 seconds just before it died, with my starter gun.

That sounds pretty awesome, that the starter gun isn't wholly useless.
