The current payment scheme means I might pay $40-$60 for one contact.
Most people don't even describe the job. This guy did.

Hi Finn
Its going to cost you $1600 for a full set of construction drawings for a 400 square foot clay birdhouse.
Plus the cost of prints and also a Structural Engineer's stamp.
The plans will get you a Building Permit from the town.
I could add a small clay Deck for a total cost of $2500.

Sorry to bother you, but is there any chance you could make it a bit bigger? 499 square foot, perhaps? Or does the deck increase the size?

Making it a bit bigger is fine, it wont effect the cost.

Well technically I don't build them, I just design Custom Clay Bird Houses.
Building one on a mine seems dangerous. Mines do collapse and clay houses are fragile.

Well I have gotten the exact same number of customers by posting here and putting adverts in the newspaper over the last 10 years. So a success!
