Hold the line! (Round 2)

Round 2

Kingdom forces - Red Rover

The pistoleers shoot Inferno, dealing 1 HP damage.

Mordra sets a tree on fire, which brings it down and destroys the skeletons standing underneath it.

Then they back up from Inferno, which is probably the wise thing to do.

Dragon Knights - Bann

Image

The skeleton champion gets charged, and destroyed.

Image

The Trogdor burninates two more skeletons.

Image

The knights attack, but don't manage to do a whole lot.

Image

Brockram shows them how it's done by charging and destroying one skeleton.

Dragon - lordintype

Image

The dragon takes off, but can't get in range of any foes yet.

Zahru - Zahru II

Image

Zahru knocks the wight king away from him.

Image

The wight king is momentarily incapacitated as Zahru follows up with a cleave attack, but the wight king's spectral armour saves him.

Woad elves - motorhead fan

Image

The woad elves reposition, ready to deal with whatever else might come down from the slope.

Some start running to support the dragon knights.

Image

Landor tries to cast a spell of entanglement, but ends up entangling himself. He'll need to use an action to free himself.

Voytek - Skip

Image

Voytek tries to give the elf archers some tips on how to fire their bows, but it seems he doesn't manage to tell them anything new.

Voytek then charges up the slope.

Miranda Oneshot - orders sent by Red Rover

Image

This is how she earned her name. Miranda shoots Inferno from miles away before he can lay waste to the pistoleers. Scratch one undead hero!

While the wight king keeps him distracted, the skeletons sneak up and stab Zahru, taking off one of his HP. Zahru fails to retaliate.

Spear skellies charge and kill Brockram's horse. The turned knight also slays one of his former companions.

The other skeletons prove useless, one of them falling to a counter, but then Baron Demorte picks himself up and, unable to reach his warhammer, picks up the fallen skeleton's swords.

With a mighty leap, he kills two of the dragon knights.

The fierce attack did break his blades, thus leaving him without a weapon again.

Then...

"Doom and decay! Quail in dismay!"

"Is that Darth Vader in a bearskin hat?"

"If it is, we're fucked..."

"No, that's Aelcar, the shadow wizard."

Where Aelcar comes, his horde of bugs (I think I called them verminites the first time I used them?) is usually not far behind. The sound of skittering, squealing creatures fills the battlefield as the bugs enter the fray.

Yeah, sorry for the delay, I had actually done the entire round right up until Miranda's turn when I noticed I didn't have orders for her (I need orders for her for Round 3 as well, btw, so anyone who feels they want to jump in, go right ahead), and when I stop doing something I tend to get distracted and start doing other stuff, and it's hard to get back into it. Lame excuse I know but it's just the way it is. I have the same problem with video games, sooo many unfinished playthroughs.

Move my pistol guys behind the line and have them fire at anything that attempt to flank

My archers should all fire into those skeletons surrounding zahru.
The hero should get up and use his feat to make a spell to add extra momentum to the elves heading over to help the others.
The elves heading over to help the others should continue to head over to help the others and attack that big bunch of skeletons.
