BULL FUGITIVES
Valarius remains on fire and loses use of his right arm, dropping his shield.
A Shieldbearer runs over and lowers him into the water to put out the flames.
The fire spread to the bridge but it was a roll of '1' so it went out again.
Valarius gets pulled ashore. He picks up his shield and attempts to Heroically ignore the pain and regain the use of his right arm.
Success! Valarius picks up his sword, moves a little further onto the bridge, joined by another Shieldbearer, taking care to stay out of range of the Wolfpack Rangers.
Seeing all the Rangers lying in wait for him, Valarius shouts an order to move the bridge to the other side. The three Shieldbearers who hadn't moved drop their weapons and work together to do this.
As the bridge is swung across, the Disciple who was waiting uses her Dual Wielder perk and opens fire with both pistols. One shot misses, the other is Deflected.
The Shaman tries to buff the skill of both Ambushers. One SN die Fumbles and decreases the Ambusher's skill by 5 instead, the other is a Critical Success!
The one Ambusher Overskills his Action Roll and the subsequent shot plows through two of the Disciples! The third one saves his action for response fire.
Valarius then closes the distance with the Disciple and attacks. She tries to parry with both sabres and loses one in the process, but Deflects most of the damage. I was starting to doubt the efficiency of these Dual Wielders, but potential Double Deflection is actually really awesome... and not broken, I think, since it doesn't help against ranged fire or charge attacks (and heavy armour + shield achieves the same thing and more).
So much for field testing these units!
