Too Little, Too Late - Turn 1

Post by Joshua » Wed Jun 23, 2021 4:01 pm

Here we go!

Turns were randomly decided by a d20.

Peasants - Bragallot

Image
These guys sprinted toward the Black Knights, shouting "Help, Help! We're being repressed!"

Image
This guy had a massive sprint roll, almost running of the edge of the battlefield!

Image
Knowing she can't run around the Undead, this peasant girl backs up slightly and prepares to dodge any attacks that come her way.

Image
This peasant looks up to see what all the commotion is about. He's cooked up a nice hot dish of food for himself.

Undead - my Brother

Image
To start things off, two undead shamble towards the peasant girl and attack!

Image
She successfully dodges the first attack, as the skeleton's axe becomes imbedded in the ground.

Image
However the second skeleton skewers her on the end of his oar. First Blood!

Image
That looked painful...

Image
The skeletal archer marches over to the tree line and fires on the peasant cooking! Sadly a miss, though.

Image
The Possessed Knight and a few more skeletons make their way towards their opponents.

Image
Image
These two sprint and end up right behind their comrades.

Image
The Necromancer walks over to one of the freshly slain peasants and begins mumbling dark incantations...

Image
Success! The peasants is revived as a zombie!

Note: I'm trying out rules where a Necromancer can attempt to revive one slain corpse per turn, but if the Necromancer is killed one half of the skeletons stop being reanimated. (are killed.) So if two Necromancers are present and one dies, a third of the skeletons die, etc. Thus Necromancers are glass cannons of sorts.

Image
The zombie lurches his way towards the nearest living person.

Black Knights - NPC, available to claim.

Image
The crossbowman tries to attack the skeletal archer, but ends up critfailing and falling on his face.

Image
Everyone else runs up. "Slay these hell-spawned wretches, men!" says John Lannister, narrowly avoiding decapitating a peasant with his halberd.
