The skirmisher cavalry draw spears and combine attacks, killing one of the trident raiders.

The cavalry continue to attack, cutting down two more halberdiers.

Sir Godfrey charges towards the cannon, but his horse trips and he falls, disrupted.
Water Demons - NPC

At the barricades, two water demons fall.
The Empire - ninja-bait

Sir Jason fires his cannon onto a saker, to cause a chain reaction. This causes the saker to fire a high-powered shot... somehow (but it is also destroyed).

I'm not sure what ninja-bait wanted the chain effect to do, but it was a critical success so I had it shoot two Black Knights from all across the field.

The halberdiers fight back, killing one knight (I think).
Draklon Raiders - lordintype

The trident raiders attack, but both miss.

Round 7 - Black Knights (I decided to continue with Joshua's orders to see if the attackers would have any meaningful forces left after this turn)

The cavalry kill two more halberdiers and a trident raider. The other trident raider is overwhelmed by the skirmish cavalry, surviving their melee attacks but falling to a combined volley.

The final water demons assaulting the breach are cut down by combined attacks as well.

Sir Godwin throws his sword, cutting off one of the cannon's wheels so that it cannot be pulled back.
Epilogue

Sir Jason, seeing his attack broken and his artillery disabled, orders a retreat. His and Sir Godwin's eyes meet briefly, both feeling the itch to duel, but both realizing it's an unnecessary risk, and that their swords are bound to clash sooner or later.
"Running away, coward?!" Godwin asks, hoping to goad Jason into sending more of his men into the meat grinder.
"This is merely a delay. I have reserves," Jason answers, hoping to goad Godwin into a risky chase after his army.

Neither course of action is followed, and Godwin rallies his men, collects the riderless horses and takes all of them back across the bridge, greeted by the cheers of the garrison.
"Well fought, men, but there is no time to celebrate yet! The enemy is bloodied, but not beaten. We got the jump on them once, but they'll be more careful next time. I want the barricades rebuilt and the sentries to remain alert. Enjoy our victory for now, but be ready for the next fight!"
"Godwin! Godwin! Godwin!" the Black Knights cheer. Godwin couldn't suppress a tiny smile. He had done his father proud today.

A tally of the casualties. Quite a performance by the Black Knights. Turns out tactical advantages do make up for numbers, even in BrikWars.

Thanks for playing, stay tuned for the next battle!
