He cuts off the Myrmidon's shield hand!
Woodaxe joins in but his strike goes nowhere.
"Hm," the archers say again.
They start tearing at the stonework.
"Huh? What was that?"

Mathias, even more furious, grabs Wymer's lost spear.
He runs Steelaxe clean through! (Steelaxe had chances to parry/counter but failed)
"Who's next??"
Akhilleus readies his spear...
He throws it into the vines where it sticks with a thunk.
He sprints forward and leaps up to the spear...
... and he vaults right into Yoshiie! (Success)
"Hey," the disarmed Heroes sigh.
Woodaxe kills the Myrmidon on a counter.
The heavy infantry captain steps up next.
Despite the promotion to Officer, Woodaxe meets his end.
The remining Archohellenes retreat from the shield wall successfully and one engages the Shogunate Officer.
The hoplite is victorious.
"So, um, I will have the honorable honor of honorably taking the honorable weapon..."
The Shogunate has possession of the Artifakt
A cold wind blows in from the sea, uncharacteristic for this time of year. The water bubbles and foams unnaturally.
The imprisoned skeleton begins to rattle and shake...
It bursts free!
Zoom! A powerful beam of light blasts from the bubbling sea straight into the battle wagon in a fit of fire and smoke.
A cloaked figure, wreathed in shadow, steps out of the surf.
Around it advance the legions of dead.
A tall skeleton leads even more up the beach.
"πΏπππ πππππππ ππ ππ!" it hisses into the cold wind.
Unaware of the new danger, the Shogunate infantry kills the last Liossan crossbow. The mounted archer behind him misses again.
The other infantry flank the hoplites.
They are able to kill one.
Yoshiie considers his options.
He strikes at Akhilleus and... (to be continued)
The Liossans hold the dock. They throw javelins at the nearby Heroes but can't harm them.
Athelard jumps to his feet and... (to be continued)
The surviving Areterians run toward the palisade, hoping to make the dock.
This Liossan didn't use his action so he jumps in to stop the Areterians.
He scores a kill but is immediately engaged by Wymer, who has grabbed the only weapon he could find... the same javelin just thrown at him.
He is only able to disarm the Liossan of his shield.
... and now, the conclusion of the Heroes Duel.
Three things happen at once:
Athelard tries to leap off Akhilleus' shoulder.
Akhilleus makes ready to bring his shield down on the bridge to destroy it.
Yoshiie taps into the magik inside the axe and begins to float away.
The bridge shakes with the impact. Athelard finds himself in the air with no target. Yoshiie peacefully ends up 5" away from where he started.
The bridge roars and breaks, stones falling toward the surf with Akhilleus in tow. Athelard tries to shoot Yoshiie but misses.
Everyone is falling. Yoshiie tries to use more magik...
Akhilleus and Athelard bob on the surface. If they don't get out or out of their armor they will drown!
Yoshiie barely lands safely on the remains of the bridge.
