Re: An Endless Staircase: A BrikwaRPG

"Good afternoon, test subjects. You have been selected to participate in an exploration party of artifact BB-P-H-00087. On your way here, you were administered level-4 amnesiac mixed in with a good amount of flunitrazepam, which would explain your inability to recall any memory of the past few hours. You will similarly receive amnesiac upon returning home, as we cannot allow you to report the confidential information you will see and hear during your stay here. Although the solicitation of foreign mercenaries is an extraordinary procedure, the unmitigated failure of the last four exploration parties involved with BB-P-H-00087 has necessitated such a measure."

"In case you are wondering who I am, my name is Dr. Miyako, a lab director in the physics department and a researcher for the Trattorian Black Box Bureau. I will relay orders to you via radio in the course of the exploration. Following my instructions will improve your chances of safety and survival."

Re: An Endless Staircase: A BrikwaRPG

Djawadi: "What is this place?"
Dr. Miyako: "It is natural for test subjects to experience fear and anxiety upon entering BB-P-H-00087. Please advance."

Lia "accidentally" loses her footing. She regains her balance, but ends up tripping Brikguy in the process. The latter's screams echo down the staircase but eventually fade in intensity. No impact is audible.

Secretary of Offense: "There's a little girl down there, she's crying for help!"
Dr. Miyako: "Noted. Please advance."
The party is currently on flight 1 (5 meters below ground).
---Fourth Wall Stuff---
Cpt. Ramadeep Djawadi (Silverdream), Lia Carver (Scratch), Operative Omega (The Shadowscythe), soon-to-be Emperor Brikguy (brikguy0410) and Secretary of Offense (theblackdog) have been selected for this mission.
All team members must remain within two flights of stairs due to limitations with the battlefield. If the majority of the party move on to the next flight for example, any laggards two flights behind will be moved up automatically.
The team may agree to go into autopilot, during which time I’ll move them through multiple flights of stairs at once without taking actions or documentation. The team may not go into autopilot when actively engaged with hostiles, and I will stop autopilot progress an indeterminate number of flights before a flight with hostiles. Loot skipped over during autopilot may not be collected.
Re: An Endless Staircase: A BrikwaRPG
Lia will keep walking, look for any anomalies.

"Logically this is just a dark staircase, any noises we hear can be assumed to be hallucinations. On the other hand, I've fought Bavarian mages before. Guys who turned themselves into tornadoes, shot fire and lightning like bullets or summoned fearsome beasts. There are many things that disgust me, traitors, sex, redheads, but what I dislike most is the supernatural."

As a clarifying note, all the members of the team have to agree to autopilot in order to use that mode due to the 2 flight limitation.
