Rule 5 is a pretty good rule. I don't even look at top threads or Day 0 threads or whatever if there are no battlefield pictures because to me that indicates a lack of planning, and shows that whoever is setting up the battle is not likely to follow through with their game once it gets going.

The reason for rule 5 was precisely the increasing amount of hosts posting threads like "I'm doing a Forum Battle, but I have no pictures, sign up" and 2 weeks later it's like "sorry, I couldn't build it because my parents didn't let me do it, this is over".

I think only 1/3 of battles are finished, 1/4 are interrupted after they start and the rest just ends before it even starts.
