Nod my head and bring the sled with me, if I can grab that grey wing looking thing on the ground. Offer him an apple once on.

Which offer are you accepting - the tank, or the courier? You will not be able to bring most of your loot with you if you join the courier.lawmaster wrote:Nod my head and bring the sled with me, if I can grab that grey wing looking thing on the ground. Offer him an apple once on like Bonn-o-Tron.

Unfortunately, no. Remember you are joining one of them (not the other way around - you aren't the most important person in the world yet), and they are not travelling to the same location.lawmaster wrote:Can I put the courier on the sled and bring it on the tank?

Ask them both for spare supplies/parts, if i receive anything put in on my sled and then head off the field with neither of them.Quadruple.Digits wrote:Unfortunately, no. [Encounter 2 Turn 1]
#1 politely declines the offer of both parties. He then offers them an apple (you hope it's an apple) and asks if they have any spare parts, which they regret to inform you that they don't.

Everyone then goes on their merry way.
[END ENCOUNTER 2]

Re: Quadrarian Saga Season 1
Ok now here's the bit where it starts getting more complicated.
Recap on How This Thing Shall Be Run:
NEW SKILL ALLOCATIONS
So now, as the halftrack drives and #1 pulls his sled through the middle of nowhere, our heroes have some time on their hands to buff up their skills.
Each hero has one Gear Upgrade and one Skill Upgrade each. Gear upgrades get you new and better things, Skill upgrades give you new and better abilities.
So here are the upgraded available to each hero.
Chan:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet module, Gun (pistol->rifle), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Avius:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command,Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Arius:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Guy:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Bravo:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
#1:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet
Skill upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Sly:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Parts:
Gear Upgrade: Helmet, Gun (pistol->rifle, if Chan allows), Steal (if Stealth is upgraded)
Skill Upgrade: Move, Skill, Armour, Champion, Command, Piloting, Strong, Stealth, Medik
Because this is Round One, Heroes may choose to upgrade one extra level in one emboldened Skill. This could supercharge the skill (e.g. give 2 levels to Champion, bringing it to Champion II) or add diversity to a character (Champion I and Command I). This extra level will be permanent.
The selected 'bonus' ability options for each character depend on fluff and battlefield conduct.
I may choose to keep this extra level system in future rounds.
You will notice that Supernatural is not an option at this stage. In order to become supernatural, you have to befriend a master supernatural being (wizard, shaman, battlemage, etc) or somehow 'ignite the spark' yourself. Then the option will become available for your character (all characters have the innate ability).

Recap on How This Thing Shall Be Run:
Spoiler
Show
How this works is I will post 'encounters'. These shall be, as the name suggests, an encounter between one or more heroes and one or more factions. One encounter shall be run at a time, and will follow standard Brikwars battle rules. The encounters shall end when all members left on field are of the same faction/alignment. This means that all other participants must have died, fled or joined the winning faction. To make this clear, fleeing and changing sides are options.
Between encounters, heroes will have opportunities to upgrade stats (the usual: skill, movement and armor) or abilities. The abilities are as follows:
- Champion:
I. One heroic feat per encounter
II. Two heroic feats per encounter
III. One heroic feat per turn
- Command:
I. Gain control of the squad the hero is in, redshirting.
II. Gain control of D3 units in parent faction plus the squad the hero is in, redshirting.
III. Gain control of parent faction (while hero is present), redshirting
- Piloting:
I. Driving vehicle and firing vehicle weapons takes one action each
II. Driving vehicle and firing vehicle weapons takes one action
III. Driving vehicle and firing vehicle weapons for free
- Strong:
I. Can use weapons of +1", provided no movement
II. Can use weapons of +1"
III. Can use weapons of +2"
- Stealth:
I. Can move while hidden at 1/3 speed, and pickpockets on D3 (1/2 D6, only 6 gives critical success)
II. Can move while hidden at 1/2 speed, and pickpockets on D6
III. Can move while hidden at full speed, and pickpockets on D12
- Medik:
I. Can make revive rolls on D3 (1/2 D6, only 6 gives critical success)
II. Can make revive rolls on D6
III. Can make revive rolls on D12
- Supernatural:
I. One supernatural die per turn
II. Two supernatural die per turn
III. Three supernatural die per turn
As well as upgrading abilities, heroes will also have the chance to loot bodies, fix broken equipment, and steal stuff from other characters.
If you have the opportunity to steal, pick something you want to steal from another character/characters. To steal that object, I will determine the necessary roll to make on a D6 (usually 4+). If it is equipment being used by that character, a (usually) 4+ will be needed on a pickpocket roll. Unstealthy characters cannot pickpocket. If the object is owned by multiple characters (eg. a vehicle), you will need to make a steal roll for each owner. A successful roll means you gain ownership of that object, with the label of 'stolen'. An unsuccessful roll means the owning character (and possibly friends) will be hostile to you in the next encounter you participate in. If a character notices the object you are using is stolen, they will possibly become hostile to you. By fencing an object (customizing, defacing, changing paint job, etc) the object will lose it's 'stolen' status and you will be free to use it unimpeded.
If it's all a bit complicated, don't worry, I will walk you through it.
