Alright, sorry about the delay, but between a Chemistry CLEP, honor society presentation, Sunday School lesson, and moving soon, I have been extremely busy.
Turn 3 http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 16&t=12290

Drakhirri

Image
The newly revived archers retrieve their bows and fire at a cavalryman. However, one is skewered and the other misses.

Image
The Drakhirri on the left succeeded in killing his opponent, but the dismounted scout and the General both fail to do anything. (I had some really bad rolls this turn.)

Romans

Image
Aemilius Paulus turns to his fallen legionaries, "Is that all you would give for your glorious city? Your fathers would not have fallen so readily to the measures of the barbarians, no, they would have exerted themselves to the utmost for hearth and home."

Image
Three legionaries are so moved that despite having already lost consciousness they raise themselves back up to fight again.

Image
Despite the benny on armor, the remaining Lingoni is hacked to pieces.

Image
The Legionaries reform the shield wall. (They would have formed testudo, but 1, they can only be attacked from the front, 2, it takes an incredibly long time to get the figs in the right position.)

Image
In general, fails all around, with the exception of the last cavalryman, who re-kills the other archer.

Overview:

Kills:
Romans: 21
Lingoni: 7 (+1 friendly fire) (Eliminated)
Drakhirri: 5

Send in orders for turn 5!

Well, we managed to put a decent hurt on the Romans, which is as good as barbarian hordes tend to do in these battles.

Have I ever had a forum battle where I didn't come out of it with 1 friendly fire casualty?

Yeah, I noticed that. In future battles I will restrict resurrection feats to specific heroes.

I thought I was going to get zerg rushed by the Drakhiri after the last turn, so I thought, "Oh crap, dude, I need more dudes!"
If my feat had failed, the troops would have made a barrier of spears, shields, and bodies. Or my general would have made a headless, bearded, two-axed Lingoni zombie of Rome's wrath.

The pics have gone offline, but you should have seen this one forum battle hosted by FISH!!! between Warhead, Zahru and myself - we were winning but the undead kept putting up guys faster than we could kill them. There was literally one instance where a healer healed a healer, who critically succeeded in healing two more guys
