Some time after these events...
A beach on the backwater, low-Tek Britannian planet Piddock. But that wall doesn't look very low-Tek. Or Britannian.
Suddenly a soldier surfaces from the ocean, and ducks into cover.
He gets a call on his kodek radio from his commanding officer.
"Stolid Stake, this is Colonel Kernel. Infiltrate Außenhimmel, the Bavarian fortress..."
"...and destroy Bagger 28H8, the final weapon."
Kapitän Wilhelm Krupp is in charge of the Bavarian forces at Außenhimmel.
"Kapitän, it was a brilliant move by high command to place this secret facility here. A slice of Bavarian apfelstrudel on Britannian soil. We have been able to complete the Bagger 28H8 completely undisturbed by Bavaria's many enemies."
"Indeed, soldier. Now that the prototype has been perfected, we can soon begin mass production in factories across Bavaria."
"But Kapitän, I do not like that we are forced to rely on mercenaries to guard the machine..."
"Neither do I, but nearly every regular soldier is defending Bavaria's borders from the enemy."
Inside the building is Doktor Emma Fremdliebe, creator of the Bagger 28H8, and her team of scientists.

The sawblade has two attack modes: a direct attack on a single target, or a sweep over multiple targets.
Single target: UR 6 - Range CC - Dam 5d6
Multiple targets: UR 2 - Range CC - Dam 2d6 - If attack hits, can attack another target within 2", at +1 UR
Mercenaries
The mercenaries are an NPC faction, loyal to the faction or alliance with the most Treasures. They will go last every turn, and cannot be directly commanded, but will generally act in the interest of whichever faction is richest at that moment. If several factions are tied for most treasures they will choose an employer at random among them.
There are three Treasures on the field at the beginning of the game:
Wilhelm Krupp's stash of Space Piltogg gold, in the cockpit of the Bagger 28H8.
Emma Fremdliebe's research funds, in the science building.
An unclaimed chest full of jewels, in a shipwreck on the beach.
